Product safety report

Product: Organic Somnum Baby Sleeping Bag (grey knitted sleeping bag with brown buttons)
Seller: Marble Corporation LTD (Little Ones)
Category: Clothing, textiles and fashion items: baby sleeping bag
Country of origin: Unknown
PSD notification number: 2504-0029
Published on GOV.UK: 23 July 2025
Action taken: “The product is no longer available for sale.”
Advice to owners: “We recommend owners stop using this product immediately. Contact the distributor you purchased from to request redress.”

The hazard

The product presents a serious risk of suffocation as the product has no arm openings. If a baby is placed inside the sleeping bag and left unattended, the baby’s natural movement may cause them to slip down in the product, covering their face and presenting a suffocation hazard.

The product does not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005.

From the official product safety notice on GOV.UK, published by the Office for Product Safety and Standards.

Checking yours

The notice names the seller, Marble Corporation LTD (Little Ones), but gives no item number or barcode, so check the Organic Somnum name on the label.

Why it matters for your bed or cot

A knitted bag with buttons down the side looks like a cosy wrap, and without arm openings nothing holds a baby’s shoulders in place. OPSS says that lets a baby slip down until the fabric covers their face. Choose a bag with arm holes and a fitted neck.
