The hazard
The product presents a serious risk of suffocation, as it has a hood which is not permitted in the relevant standard, BS EN 16781:2018. If a baby is placed inside a hooded sleeping bag and left unattended, the baby’s natural movement may cause the hood to cover the head/face, presenting a suffocation hazard.
The product does not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005.

Why it matters for your bed or cot
This is the blue version of the button-sided knitted bag OPSS reported several times that spring, and this one had a hood. Warmth was the selling point; the hood is what failed.
