For countless people, a good night's sleep is often disrupted by allergies and discomfort from unsupportive pillows. Enter the Simply by Bensons Anti Allergy Twin Pack Pillows, designed to provide comfort and shield against allergy triggers to offer uninterrupted sleep. But do they live up to expectations? We conducted an in-depth analysis to find out.
How We Tested
Our testing approach aimed to determine if these pillows could actually serve the function they are designed for. We investigated their feel and comfort level, explored their construction, and considered their suitability for different sleepers. All testing was performed in-store, so, though we didn't have the chance to try them out at home, we did get a thorough feel for their attributes.
Design and Features
The first thing you notice about the Simply by Bensons Anti Allergy Pillows is their soft touch microfibre cover. This luxurious surface feels delicate against the skin, a feature that's beneficial for anyone with sensitive skin. The pillows are firmly rated for soft support, making them ideal for those who relish that sinking feeling when they lay down to sleep.
Construction
The careful design of these pillows is solid. They are made in the UK and filled with anti-allergy fibres, a unique concoction designed specifically to combat dust mites and bacteria - major culprits that aggravate allergies and disrupt your sleep. Their neatness is also key to their practicality, as Simply by Bensons Anti Allergy Pillows are machine washable, allowing you to freshen them up whenever needed.
Suitability
The Simply by Bensons Anti Allergy Pillows are marketed as being suitable for all sleeping positions - front, back, and side. The luxury of sinking in is paired with the soft support designed to relieve stress on the neck - an essential in preventing potential pain. If you're in search of that elusive balance between comfort and support, these pillows seemingly tick those boxes.
What Customers Thought
Majority of the customer reviews were positive, indicating an overall satisfaction with their purchase. One reviewer remarked on the excellent value for money that these pillows offer, while another customer vouched for their comfort, stating it resulted in a "fantastic sleep". These reviews underline the potential these pillows have in improving your sleep quality and comfort.
The Verdict
On the face of it, the Simply by Bensons Anti Allergy Twin Pack Pillows seem like a worthwhile investment for those seeking to escape allergy-induced sleep interruptions. However, our impression, based on in-store testing, suggests that they are a fairly average pair of pillows. Their softness may appeal to side sleepers, and the potential allergen combatting qualities are an added bonus, but their guarantee is somewhat limited. The price seems reasonable but isn't extraordinary considering their functional capabilities.
Overall, if you're seeking a satisfactory move towards comfort, particularly if you're a side sleeper, these pillows are a solid choice. Just ensure you consider your specific needs and preferences prior to making a purchase. We recommend augmenting your bedding ensemble with the Simply by Bensons Anti Allergy Duvet for all-around hypoallergenic comfort.
