Sleep is one of the necessities of life, as essential as water, food, and air. The quality of your sleep directly relates to the quality of your life, affecting your mental health, physical wellbeing, and the overall ability to function to your best capacity. Every night of quality sleep is a deposit into the bank of good health, longevity, and vitality. It's a critical part of life that sometimes gets overlooked. But fret not, because Sealy Exquisite Entice Mattress, the combination of luxury and orthopaedic support, is here to ensure you're well-rested and rejuvenated every single morning.
How we assessed it
On paper this is a tall hybrid: Sealy's zoned RestSupport coil springs, 2000 micro coils and foam comfort fillings, 34cm deep and rated Medium. That points to cushioning at the shoulder and hip while the springs underneath do the supporting. For couples, the micro coils and foam should soften a partner's turning over, and the reinforced border (UniCased XT with Sealy's BasePlank) is there so you can sleep right to the edge. The comfort fillings are foam, including a double layer of ClimaLux, so if you sleep hot I'd expect it to run warmer than springs under wool or cotton.
Design and features
The Sealy Exquisite Entice Mattress is a mix of carefully chosen materials and crafted elements, all combined to deliver a sleeping experience that feels like floating on a cloud. The mattress uses Sealy's RestSupport® Coil, an exclusive coil spring support system tailored to align your spine and provide great resilience in its bounce-back nature.
It's an detailed layering of unique elements, including micro coils and various types of foam, layered in a careful order to offer comfort and much-needed support to your body while sleeping. The addition of twice tempered RestSupport coil springs that skilfully mould your body, the Reflex foam that supports your body, and the hypoallergenic nature of the mattress, all make the Sealy Exquisite Entice Mattress stand out in its league.
Mattress comfort
Comfort is king when it comes to mattresses, and on paper this one is built for it: foam comfort fillings, plus 2000 micro coils alongside the main springs. The Sealy Exquisite Entice Mattress lives up to its name, encapsulating an exquisite combination of comfort and luxury. The mattress skilfully contours to your body, providing you with a cradle effect, supported to ensure optimal alignment of your spine and the appropriate distribution of your body weight.
Suitability
The medium tension of this mattress makes it an excellent choice for both back and side sleepers. It does an exceptional job providing much-needed comfort for side sleepers while offering naturally aligned support for those who enjoy sleeping on their back. However, back sleepers may wish to consider a slightly firmer mattress for even more contouring and support.
What customers thought
Owners are pleased with it. One owner wrote of a "plush luxurious feel and a tremendous level of comfort and support", and another said "I sleep much better and feel very refreshed" after replacing a mattress that was already good.
A reviewer who describes himself as a Sealy sleep ambassador from ten years ago called it a "superbly built product made in England", though he also warned "boy, was it heavy". One more owner summed it up as "great quality at great price".
My Personal Opinion
Personally, I believe the Sealy Exquisite Entice Mattress offers a decent comfort level and support, however, its value for money is not compelling. Sealy's decision to hike prices a few years ago was apparently to set itself apart from Silentnight. However, this simply translates to paying more for similar specs, and hence, it may not be the wisest purchase.
The verdict
The Sealy Exquisite Entice Mattress is a suitable product for those seeking a premium, supportive, and comfortable sleeping experience, hinging especially towards side sleepers. However, the price feels a bit steep given the similar specs offered by different brands in this price range. Value for money plays a big role for the average consumer, given the amount of choice in the mattress market nowadays. I'd compare a few alternatives before you decide to spend on Sealy Exquisite Entice Mattress.
