Velvet fabrics look to explode this year with it being the height of fashion in any new bedroom designs.

3 week lead on delivery at time of review, this is quicker than most of the other frames in the range but may still have you panicking if you've left it a bit late.

Brand new and unique to Bensons for Beds we are looking today at the Orianna Upholstered Ottoman Bed Frame. This ones quite impressive and is far more versatile than your average bed frame. To start the ottoman design of the frame means that you can literally lift the mattress away from the bed frame via a front loading design that is operated on gas lifts that will make movement a breeze. The primary benefit to ottomans is around storage, of which you will have plenty for storing quilts, duvets, sheets and other bedding easily beneath the mattress making wash day far easier to manage and mitigate.

The Orianna is available in 3 different rich colours and is an elegant complement to any bedroom and will provide guests or loved ones with a restful night sleep in your home and thanks to those deep buttons, you get contemporary fashion and a classic feel that is luxurious to the touch. The 3 colours all come in varying pigments of velvet which is the "in" fabric for this year and looks remarkable in any room set up. This really is one of those "feature" bed frames that will stand out in whatever room you place it in.

Further to the design you have an included winged headboard to finish off the product, blending well and completing the look.

Finally you get an included 5 year guarantee which is more than you typically get on other bed frames from competing retailers. Bensons for Beds clearly believe in the workmanship of their product offering enough to protect the consumer for many years to come which is great news from a build quality standpoint.

Long term reviews are still fairly light, with the product dropping so recently, however, given the guarantee period and typical quality of products in the range, we do not doubt its quality. Price point is very keen too, albeit with limited sizing and deferred lead times.

We love this bed! We chose the double as w heaven a small bedroom however, we are glad we did. We ended up having to take a door off to get it up our stairs (an absolute ordeal) but we'll worth it! The delivery guys were brilliant as well and super chatty!! The only downfall was the instructions. At one point it says to put in only 1 bolt on each side of the headboard but in the next page there is more than one bolt. Easy fix. The lats are also a pain to attach to the b3d as the instructions must assume you have a large empty space to put the bed up. But all in all so beautiful and we are so happy with it!

Cannot fault the product itself at all. Brilliant bed, delivery guys were fantastic. However, the customer service is atrocious. Bed came without two locking nuts which are integral to the ottoman mechanism of the bed working and remaining safe. When I contacted customer services to enquire about replacements we were met with "go and get some from b & q". Not really on when you've just spent this much money on a bed. Other than that. Brilliant.

We had this in King size in Pewter and its gorgeous. Building the bed was a little annoying because the bars underneath are not easy to get into place with the frame built. The storage space is so much better than my last as this is the full size of the bed and my last wasn't so that's great and the base is really good and solid so hopefully they hold the items under the bed better.

Its lovely now constructed but was quite complicated & time consuming. Only issue is the mattress alone keeps the ottoman lid down so another challenge when rotating mattress, couldn't be done single handed. Under mattress storage is huge & well built taking into consideration potential weight. Overall great product & great quality. Would definitely recommend & buy again

Very nice bed, only problem when assembled the mattress base isnt 100% in line with the blocks at the side that keep it up so with some weight the frame collapsed in. Made some adjustments and is better now and holding but still just about sitting on the blocks so maybe some rough movements could make it move from the block and collapse in.

I'm very happy with my Ottoman bed, the storage space has made so much difference, the quality is great and well worth the money, the bed is very solid and looks luxurious, along with the mattress I bought I get a lovely nights sleep.

The bed was really easy to put together and it's so comfortable! It fixed my aching back within a week. It looks beautiful in our room and has amazing space for storage. Our space looks like a boutique hotel now, we love it!

As a look is good BUT as a quality is really low. Made of cheap material that will not last for more than 3 years. It is not deserving 600. If I knew I would go and order cheaper bed frame and expensive mattress.

Lovely bed. There is nothing negative to say. Fairly easy to put together. There is tons of storage area. The bed looks smart and is very comfy to sleep. Really happy with the service and delivery too.

The box space is not very heightened. Self-assembly was not difficult I would have preferred the option of having it assembled. After assembly, there is a noticeable gap in the mattress and bed frame.
