Relyon vs Doze Mattresses

Many, many, years ago, we purchased a Slumberland mattress and divan from Dreams in Reading and it gave us faultless service throughout. We recently decided to purchase a mattress of similar design, but how things have moved on since our last purchase. We were certainly impressed with our initial purchase from Dreams and that’s why we decided to visit Dreams in Reading again and were greeted by Jenny who was friendly and professional, but not intrusive, (as can be the case in certain sales type situations, experienced in other stores over the years). Jenny understood the situation and was spot on, professionally and friendly and I knew within a few minutes that we were probably going to purchase from her. Once she understood our needs, she explained that Dreams had this in store computer operated bed, which she encouraged us to lay on (after putting a paper sheet on top of the bed, to ensure and maintain cleanliness, (which is so important with the Covid situation) which in a few minutes, gave information as to probably the type of mattress we should be considering as a couple. After further information, we narrowed our decision down to two mattresses and then eventually the one we decided to purchase. We ended up purchasing a Somerton 1200 pocket sprung mattress featuring Dunlopillo latex, which is exclusive to Dreams and which was also an easy, no turn mattress!!! Delivery was quoted as one week and within a two hour window on the said day. It did get delivered on the agreed day i and at the steed arrival time. We were also amazed how professionally the delivery people were and also how helpful they were in keeping us informed as to what time they would arrive etc. Dreams provided a first class service from the moment we walked into the store, right through to the mattress was delivered and the old one removed. Top marks to Dreams and to their staff for a truly pleasant meeting including the delivery team. And now after 3 weeks of using our new mattress, we know we made the right choice. A bit extreme perhaps but I've waited a full year before posting this review. When we were looking for a mattress, I read lots of reviews from people who were reviewing something they'd only slept on for a couple of days or perhaps weeks and I didn't find these especially helpful. This mattress wasn't our first choice, we'd originally bought a different one that unfortunately turned out to be faulty. As a side note, Dreams were absolutely brilliant over this - after I reported the issues, we had an engineer visit within a couple of days and it was quickly confirmed that our original purchase had been duff. After our initial bad experience, we didn't want to have a straight replacement, so we re-visited our local store (Chester) to have another look at the potential replacements they had on offer. The sales team there were fantastic, we saw the same advisor who'd helped us on our initial visit - we explained the situation so she knew she wasn't going to earn any commission from helping us but she was wonderful, she spent ages with us and really gave us fantastic service - huge thanks to her! So, at last to the point. I wouldn't have considered a soft mattress, if we hadn't been directed to it by the sleep match machine but our initial impression was excellent, the mattress felt sturdy and well made as well as being very comfortable, although not particularly 'soft'. A year on and we are so, so happy with our choice! My husband's back pain has gone, as has my neck and hip pain - I've packed away the knee pillow that I was having to use to reduce the aches I was feeling with our old mattress. After a few weeks, the pillow top did soften up - I'd been a bit nervous about this happening as I didn't really like the idea of a soft mattress but I needn't have worried, every night is like sleeping on a huge, incredibly supportive marshmallow, it's just lovely. I've never slept better and I wholeheartedly recommend the Highbridge.

My previous mattress was well well well over the recommended used by date, I have been saving to buy a new one for a while. So getting it right was so important- this mattress is perfect, I used the in store sleepmatch or “magic bed” as my daughter called it. It matched me to this mattress and it is divine. I needed a mattress on the firmer side and I don’t like a lot of memory foam on the top as it makes me too hot and I can’t sleep. This mattress has a cooling layer and it seems to working like a dream. Best of both now. I’m a single mum and with the help of the 4 handles it’s so easy to rotate all by my myself. The Sale gods were shining on me - as I did managed to get this mattress in the Sale. Pros - Best mattress I have ever slept on. Cons - My kids now want to sleep with me as it’s “soooooo comfortable”. So I best get saving again to buy them their own.

Used this pillow for just over a week now, previously my neck was very painful and I would wake up through the night with what felt like cramp in neck and lower head, but since I've been using this pillow it's all easing off now, I'm sleeping much better, feel a lot more comfortable and have less pain in my neck which I think will diminish over time. Highly recommend this pillow for anyone who suffers neck and head pain, I know it's expensive but it's better than constantly buying other pillows that don't help, I have quite a collection of different pillows now and this is the one I'll be sticking with for sure!

From our first visit to Dreams in Aylesbury the entire process could not have been handled any better by Dreams staff, Sean was excellent, listened to our requirements and steered us in right direction and we are delighted with ourRelyon Mattress, very comfortable, we should have made the purchase earlier for did not realise how our old mattress needed replacing, will not make the same error again. Delivered exactly when promised by caring, careful delivery staff and taken direct to our bedroom and placed in position with old mattress removed, first class service throughout the process. Let me begin by saying I had an amazing mattress purchased from dreams back in 2005. However that was some serious good quality as it lasted 14 years!! I only found out in 2018 that one had to replace their mattress every 8 years, so I really passed that time limit. I put all my faith in dreams after having failed from another website online where I just had to send it back and opt for this dreams one having tested it out at the shop with their new innovated technology system. But I now had no mattress It was a long wait of 5 weeks (seemed long when you don't have a matrress, but is standard delivery times), and I had to remind myself this was my situaton when I first bought my mattress. I took it back to basics, deciding not to have the hump, as so many don't even have a roof over their heads so lets be humble now..My previous mattress was all fine, until recently for 5 months straight, I had a sore waist, physio referral but nothing was working, and I never have pain for that long. My lower waist pains usually last a couple of weeks if that. I started to get scared and all I wanted to do was help to relieve the problem. I have been a full time carer to my son for many years which has clearly taken a strain on my body as he needs 24/7 care where a lot of manual handling is involved, which was now taking its toll on me. I begun to wake up really stiff, and so sore, that chucking out my old mattress before this one from dreams arrived, was the correct thing to do. I slept on my leather sofa(where the home rule is "do not!" But i broke the rule lol) . It was comfy! But still didn't feel quite right, so I tried the floor, and lo and behold, after sleeping on the floor for a couple of weeks, waist pain gone! One of my son's nurses many years ago did suggest, but I never took her on. Funny what desperate measures can do to you, lol. Then arrived the bed January 2020. It didn't feel as lush as in the shop initially, so I started googling like mad, and soon enough learnt that was normal and to give it time for your body to adjust, especially if you were sleeping on the wrong mattress for a number of years anyways! Day 1 pins and needles. But day 2 and three, now on week 2 and a bit, PERFECTION! I'm now screw face when it's time to get up in the morning because i donlt wanna get out! It's that cosy omggg!! It's like an outer body experience lol. Worth every penny. I did a lot of research when looking for a mattress. I wanted pocket sprung, but learnt that wasn't for me anymore. The one I had which lasted 15 years was pocket sprung but my body had obviously changed within the 14 years of having my old mattress, as up until that point I would still rate it and still hold onto it f i could as condition was still perfect. I was sad to see it go. Then I got an orphopeadic medium firm one online and worst decision, YUK! sent back! But by then I got rid of mines, hence being mattressless LOL! It was worth the wait. I was estatic when learnt I could get pocket sprung, which I longed for, but with memory foam as well, best of both worlds, 2 in 1! The memory foam would help my waist. I can confidently say that my physio, ridding the old mattress, and getting one to accommodate my needs has rid my back pain immediately. No more waking up stiff! No more sore waist. Just a heavenly nights sleep! I wouldn't expect anything less from dreams, and i will go to them again and again. They will see me again in the next 10 years! HA! Thank you dreams!

Grove D Ottoman Blue Therapur Acti Resp Mattress Me and my partner are obsessed with our new bed and mattress. After years of waking up every morning with back pain, we reached out to Dreams to advise us on which mattress would suit us best. I love that we had an opportunity at the store to use and experience some new tech sleep matching and use it never expected such life changing results too. The mattress is deliciously comfortable and yet reassuringly supportive. With my previous mattress I always felt I was lying in the wrong position, but now I get a great night sleep whether I’m lying on my side or back, and I no longer need a stack of pillows to support my spine. My partner find it too exactly to what he needed for his upper part of his back. I can’t put a price on that. Highly recommend! Yeah it might be more expensive but definitely worth it to have a great sleep !

Having had the same mattress for the past seven years , which was already at least fourteen years old when I received it . It looked and felt like it needed replacing. Dreams is a company that I had heard of and I thought give them a try, why not. I am so glad I did, not only was the sales experience excellent beyond my expectations, the delivery when it came was spot on time. If I was to have any complaints (which I do not),it would be the time it took to arrive, but that was my fault, for picking a very busy time of year. As for the product,words can not describe how good it is. Since delivery I have had collectively the best nights sleep I have had in years. I would most definitely recommend Dreams to any of my friends should they ask for quality of both service and product not to mention the after sales service, which I think is excellent.

I have a frequent bedwettee and so decided to take out the dreams insurance for the lifetime of the mattress due to the washable zipped cover coming off and afraid that the zip would break well before the end of the life of the mattress. This waterproof mattress protector came FREE when taking out the insurance cover. This mattress protector has been put into "use" within the first week of receiving our mattress and we are really pleased with firstly the fit, it is slightly larger than the mattress for depth, but it doesnt move during the night and is cold to touch which for a child with autism and a growing child also increases their confidence at bedtime. Washed at 40 degrees on a standard cycle and tumble dried on a half heat cycle as I needed it back on the bed the same day and it was raining outside. Can not fault the quality so far.

Dear Dreams, we bought the bed for my sister in law who has recently been diagnosed with cancer. She loves the bed, the mattress and the fact that she can adjust it to get maximum comfort is just perfect. The service from Tracy in your Inverness store was brilliant from start to finish. Myself and my husband are in Spain and desperate to ensure we got the right bed for Christine. Tracy guided us through the process and we are delighted with the service from start to finish. The bed was delivered as promised and our hope and dream is that Christine will recover soon and the bed has given her such a boost it will definitely help her so much during this difficult time.
