The hazard
The product presents a serious risk of suffocation, as it has a hood which is not permitted in the relevant standard, BS EN 16781:2018. If a baby is placed inside a hooded sleeping bag and left unattended, the baby’s natural movement may cause the hood to cover their head or face, presenting a risk of suffocation.
The product does not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005.

Why it matters for your bed or cot
Pure cotton and ultra-soft are fabric claims; neither tells you whether the bag has a hood. OPSS found one. When you compare sleeping bags, check the shape first and the fabric second.
