Product recall

Product: Moonboon Organic Baby Hammock Mounting Kit (baby hammock made out of cotton, with a walnut cross bar and cotton mattress filled with kapok)
Brand: Moonboon
Item Number: 154
SKU: 10286
Barcode: 5744001611593
Category: Childcare articles and children’s equipment: baby sleep hammock
Country of origin: China
PSD notification number: 2508-0194
Published on GOV.UK: 31 August 2025
Action taken: “The product has been recalled from end users.”
Advice to owners: “Consumers can continue to use the product without the rawlplug/mounting kit.”

The hazard

The product presents a risk of injuries as it is possible for the rawlplug to come loose during use, leading to the infant user falling from the suspended sleep product.

The product does not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005.

From the official product safety notice on GOV.UK, published by the Office for Product Safety and Standards.

Checking yours

Moonboon runs a product recall page of its own for the kit.

Why it matters for your bed or cot

A baby hammock hangs from one point, so everything depends on that fixing. If the rawlplug pulls out of the wall or ceiling, the hammock comes down with the baby in it. That fixing is the part Moonboon recalled.
