The hazard
The product presents a serious suffocation risk as it has a hood and was marketed for use as an infant sleeping bag. If a baby is placed inside a hooded sleeping bag and left unattended, the baby’s natural movement may cause the hood to cover the head/face, presenting a suffocation hazard.
The product does not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005.
From the official product safety notice on GOV.UK, published by the Office for Product Safety and Standards.
Why it matters for your bed or cot
A cream bag listed on Vicedeal under the same name was reported in April 2025 for having no arm openings. This white one on Grandado had a hood. Different fault, same rule: arm holes and no hood.
