I got my hands on this one in person and the first thing I did was run my palm across the soft knit quilted cover, it genuinely feels nicer than I expected for a kids focused mattress. The Eco Comfort layers are made up of a carefully selected mix of eco friendly materials (typically recycled plastic bottles) and aims to provide you with the ideal sleeping environment. You will notice that this mattress is also chemical and foam free, meaning it is safe for you and your family. That said, if you're specifically after that slow sinking memory foam feel, you will not get it here, it feels more buoyant and 'on top' than 'in'.

This mattress offers superior comfort with 800 pocket springs that provide support for your entire body, and a soft knit quilted cover that feels luxurious to the touch. When I pressed down with my knuckles I could feel the pocket springs reacting in smaller sections rather than one big bounce, which is what you want for proper support. I also sat right on the edge for a minute and it held up ok, but it's not the strongest edge support I've tried, so if your child tends to perch on the side to put socks on it will dip a bit. The 3D mesh border ensures air circulates freely to keep you cool on hot nights, and in the showroom it did feel like it would breathe better than a fully quilted border.

Lying on my back, it felt nicely level through the hips and lower back, and it didn't have that hammocky feel you can get with cheaper spring systems. On my side though, I could see lighter side sleepers finding it a touch firm around the shoulder, especially if they're under about 60-70kg. Just remember it's non-turn, so you can't flip it, you will need to stay on top of rotating it to keep wear even.
