To start, this is a firmer tension mattress which is in line with the expectations given when dealing with a Sealy Posturepedic patented mattress like this one. The AlignSupport springs do a great job in offering full body contouring and additional structure to the mattress that will appeal to those who sleep on their stomach or back.
When it comes to comfort you are getting what looks to be a plush top mattress which means you are getting twice the comfort layers for better sinkage into the product while appealing to those who like to be cocooned in their bed while sleeping. More specifically, in the instance of the Sealy Elevate Ultra Daito Mattress you get generic soft foam combined with two layers of MemorySense ComfortCare foam which moulds to your every movement, reacting instantly to help provide a good degree of softness.
Who is the mattress not for? Side sleepers may struggle to find comfort with this type of mattress as the base layer has an orthopaedic firm support and while this will be offset by the numerous comfort layers found in this plush top mattress, it will likely not suffice for those who sleep continually on their side with an average BMI.
Others who might not find this mattress suitable are those on a more limited budget. Sealy has restructured their entire mattress division with a focus toward the more premium end and in doing so has created a high end premium product that is priced accordingly. While finance is offered for those looking to spread the cost, the mattress proves to be quite a large investment.
What is the level of firmness experienced as a scale of 1 to 10? The firmness and tension offered within the Sealy Elevate Ultra Daito Mattress comes in at a 7 on the firmness scale We've definitely felt firmer, perhaps in large point thanks to the deep and luxurious dual comfort layers that sit above the springs helping to keep an amount of that board-like feel of the springs at bay while still offering all the same orthopaedic qualities.
What do other customers say? Customer long term feedback will take a while to come in as the product is still so new. That said, initial reviews are looking particularly strong with customers enjoying their new sleep experience and commenting on the great build quality and value for money offered in getting such a high quality product at a fair market price.
