Why our sleep experts loved it
The world of pillows – a soft haven where dreams are woven and restful nights ensured. But, not every pillow can cater to every specific need of varied sleepers. This is why we have dived headfirst into the arena of pillow reviewing and today, the contender is an interesting one – the Dreams Memory Cloud Support Pillow.
Design and Features
Stylish yet simple, the Dreams Memory Cloud Support Pillow is an epitome of the saying 'less is more.' It's not just a pillow, rather an outcome of thoughtful designing and keen consideration for varied sleepers. Unlike other memory foam pillows, it pitches itself as both optimal for front sleepers, offering cushioning for neck and shoulders, and back sleepers, facilitating ideal spinal alignment. Sounds perfect, right? But in my opinion, no single pillow can ideally fit everyone.
Bling and grandeur are set aside and functionality takes a front seat when it comes to the design of this pillow. Encased within a 100% cotton cover, it assures a natural, breathable feel, a bit unexpected from a memory foam pillow. Albeit a tad thick, it does provide a comforting plush feel.
Construction
Understanding the construction helps unravel the magic behind the soft comfort balanced with commendable support that the Dreams Memory Cloud Support Pillow offers. At its core, the pillow works its magic with memory foam clusters. This is where this pillow stands alone from the usual memory foam pillows that feature a solid foam piece. These clusters enhance the overall breathability of the pillow, thereby waving goodbye to the typical overheating issue associated with memory foam.
This pillow is machine washable at 40°C, speaking volumes about its practical and easy maintenance. However, I cannot simply disregard my personal preference for latex pillows over memory foam ones as they provide superior air circulation.
Suitability
Claimed to be perfect for both front and back sleepers, this pillow is said to intelligently mold to the shape of the head and neck for optimal spinal alignment. Now, on testing it meticulously in-store, it indeed tended to mould under pressure, offering an apparent good fit. However, with my leanings towards latex pillows due to their better heat management and comfort, it felt a tad bit off.
Its comfort level ranges from soft to medium. This, in my view, would most likely suit side sleepers, where their neck and head would sink in finding an ideal position. Yet, as much as I try, I can't shake off my personal hesitation towards memory foam. However, each sleeper's preferences can differ greatly, and this might strike a chord with many out there given its solid customer reviews.
What Customers Thought
Our scepticism aside, this Dreams Memory Cloud Support pillow has indeed garnered appreciation among customers. Most found it super comfortable, with delightful balance between softness and support, contrary to more common duel between 'too hard' and 'too soft'. One customer particularly was taken by its pressure relief and proper alignment catering to side and back sleepers alike. Further, its cool, breathable design seemed to be a crowd-pleaser. Of course, the hypoallergenic, washable cover took the cake by adding freshness and convenience, making this pillow a durable, comfy, and supportive model.
The Verdict
On the face of it, the Dreams Memory Cloud Support Pillow appears a dream come true offering a delightful combination of comfort and support. Its thoughtful design, promising a comfortable temperature throughout the night, is a refreshing alternative to the heat-trapping memory foam cliché. Plus, it comes in a washable, 100% cotton cover, adding a natural feel to the whole ensemble.
However, despite its impressive features, I cannot help but feel a bit reserved due to my personal inclination towards latex pillows over memory foam ones due to their superior air circulation and comfort characteristics. After testing this Dreams Memory Cloud Support pillow in-store, I still believe that it might be both – slightly too thick for back sleepers, yet too thin for side sleepers. Now, while it might provide a sense of balance between softness and support, I'd advise you to put this to your personal test, keeping in mind views shared by previous customers.
All in all, the Dreams Memory Cloud Support Pillow could be your dream pillow, especially if you have a soft spot for memory foam pillows with an added dash of breathability. But if you're like me, preferring a latex pillow, this may not be the best choice for you. Hence, take your pick, guided by your preference, and embark on a journey to dreamland as sweet as it gets.
