Why our sleep experts loved it
The Sleepeezee Cosmic 3000 Combination Mattress is the model I kept returning to whenever I had a chance to try the newer Sleepeezee line in person. For people who move between positions at night, this model manages to land in the perfect spot, where it offers a cushioned, plush top but you do not feel unsupported once you end up on your back or front.
It is marketed as a cooling hybrid, using graphite-infused memory foam, micro springs and pocket springs, along with a pillow top finish and reinforced edges. In real life it also looks and feels like a premium build, tall, substantial and engineered to offer plush comfort without that sinking-in-foam feeling that can aggravate combination sleepers.
Construction & Materials This is a mattress with a comfort layer of graphite-infused memory foam, intended to provide a cooler sleep surface than standard memory foam. The top layer is also a breathable knit-style cover, that feels more open and airy than a flat, dense weave. This is the kind of detail that can make a real difference when you are combining foam with a warmer sleeper profile.
Beneath the foam, you get a support layer that uses both micro springs and pocket springs. Micro springs are coils that are smaller in diameter and closer to the surface, which can provide a nice, responsive contouring effect, especially around shoulders and hips. Pocket springs do the heavier lifting underneath, providing base support and alignment as well as less motion transfer compared to older style connected coil systems.
The "3000" naming convention is related to the spring count, and in this industry it is worth noting that some of the headline number is usually driven by the micro springs rather than all being full-height pocket springs. With that caveat, it is still the case that this layered coil approach can provide a genuinely supportive feel and a responsive, nicely adaptive feel in practice.
Firmness & Feel I would put the Cosmic 3000 in the medium-firm range. The pillow top and foam give you a softer initial settlement, but that is met with a more supportive undercurrent from the base. It does not have that very slow, deep, enveloping sink you get from thicker, denser all-foam models.
When I tested it, the overall effect was probably best described as comfort with lift. That is significant, because it means that repositioning is not as of a chore, and you are less likely to feel like the mattress is gripping you as you turn during the night.
Performance & Support From the back, I found it nicely balanced, with the springs giving support to the pelvis and the foam layer smoothing out pressure points. For front sleeping, the medium-firm support should also mean that hips do not drop as far as they might on a softer mattress, although very lightweight sleepers could still find the pillow top a touch too cosy for strict front sleeping.
Side sleeping gave me a decent level of cushioning at the shoulder, but the overall profile still stays on the supportive side of the spectrum. Sleepers of average build and with side sleeping as their primary posture should find it comfortable, but if you have very pronounced curves or are extremely pressure sensitive, you might find a softer model or one with more yielding through the comfort layers to be a better fit.
Edge support is a real practical strength of this mattress. Pillow-top hybrids can sometimes feel weak at the perimeter, but this one was more secure when I was sitting on the side and also when I was lying near the edge of the sleeping surface. That can be very helpful for couples who want to make full use of the available space.
Temperature Regulation This is where the Cosmic 3000 won me over in store. The graphite-infused memory foam felt noticeably cooler to the touch than several other foam topped mattresses I was trying out in the same store and that first impression is usually a good sign if you run warm at night.
It is still a foam-topped hybrid, so it is not the crisp, ultra-breezy feel you would get from a very taut, traditional spring mattress. However, with the combination of a breathable cover and spring layers that allow for more airflow through the core, this has a noticeably more temperature-aware design than you see from many memory foam hybrids at this level of comfort.
Practical Features The mattress has a notably tall profile, which contributes to both the premium look and the plushness of the pillow top. The tradeoff is that you will likely need deeper fitted sheets, and the overall bed height will be quite high depending on what base you pair it with.
On the practical, everyday front, it feels like a mattress that is designed to suit a broad range of sleepers, rather than being more narrowly tuned for one posture or one specific pain-management objective. If you share a bed with someone whose sleep positions differ from your own, that versatility is a real selling point.
Who It Suits Combination sleepers who move between positions regularly and want a mattress that stays comfortable but does not make turning feel like work.
Hot sleepers who still like memory foam and want a cooler, more breathable approach to a foam-topped hybrid.
Couples who want a stable sleeping surface with supportive edges and a feel that is neither too bouncy nor too sinky.
Back sleepers who appreciate a touch of cushioning but still want a held, aligned feel through the midsection.
Who It Doesn’t Suit Very pressure-sensitive side sleepers who need a softer, deeper cradle around the shoulder and hip.
Fans of very firm, orthopaedic-style mattresses who want a flatter, less cushioned surface feel.
Shoppers on a strict budget who want to extract the maximum value and not pay for premium build or finishing.
Final Verdict If you are looking for a safe, genuinely versatile recommendation from this newer Sleepeezee line, the Cosmic 3000 is the model I would direct you towards. It feels well balanced for how people actually sleep, plush enough to be comfortable but not so much that you are not held up and easy enough to move around on if you are not the type to stay in one position.
The cooling element is not just a sales pitch in my experience, I found it noticeably cooler than some of the foam alternatives I tried in the same store environment. If you have the budget for a premium hybrid and you want one mattress that can suit most people most of the time, this is a strong all-rounder choice.
