A mattress in a guest room gets far less wear than one you sleep on every night, which changes how much comfort and durability are worth paying for.
Where your weight presses into the mattress depends on how you lie. Side sleepers usually need more give at the shoulder and hip than back or stomach sleepers.
Heavier bodies sink further into the same mattress, so it can feel softer to one person than to another.
Back and neck pain often needs firmer, more even support. If a doctor or physiotherapist has given you advice, follow that first.
This is a starting point rather than a verdict. The reviews on each mattress say how it feels in use, so read a few before you choose.
