The bed itself is great - really comfortable and we like the style very much. The ottoman works brilliantly and the space it provides is really useful. It came in more boxes than I was expecting (6), so it took me about 30 minutes just to get everything unpacked before I had even started construction. Building the bed was pretty easy, and I managed almost all of it without any assistance - it was just a little tricky to attach the ottoman levers single-handedly. The only slight grip I had with the construction is that the screw-holes on the underside of the bed platform (to connect the two pieces of the platform together) weren't lined up correctly, so it was a bit of a faff to get the screws in. My only real complaint - and the reason I only gave four stars - is the amount of non-recyclable packing that the bed came in. While it was very well protected, it did feel a bit over the top; once it was unpacked I was left with a massive bag full of plastic wrapping and foam padding that had to go to the tip. If there was a way to make the packing just a little bit more eco-friendly then this would be absolutely perfect.

We wanted a grey ottoman king size bed with feet (not flat on the ground) and that the mattress would come to the edge of the bed. We had been looking in shops but nothing was quite right (colour, headboard, shape etc) but eventually found what we wanted in the Yorkie Grey Fabric Ottoman Bed and the reviews for it were really good on the website. We weren't sure exactly of the shade of grey that the bed would be, but it is perfect for our room and we love the colour. It says elephant grey on the box and I would describe it as a mid-grey. The bed build was estimated at 1.5 hours and that was spot on (almost), but it did take us about an hour to take everything out of its packaging ready to build, but I suppose it was well protected. The instructions were clear. We love this bed (it's our first ottoman and king size) and also the headboard shape. It has loads of storage space and is also quite high with the mattress.

The bed is great, everything was included (including the tools needed to put the bed together which was a pleasant surprise). It appears darker in colour in real life than what it seems on the website was the only slightly 'oh' moment. It took me (not very good with DIY) and my partner (very good with DIY) just under 2 hours I think to put together. The instructions are clear though but recommend two people if possible. Also to note when you first have the bed up and try to close it for the first time the gas supports are very stiff so be patient, we thought it wasn't going to close; but then once it does and you do it a few times they ease up. Also it's quite high, so keep that in mind when measuring the frame and including your mattress on top.

We're really tight on space and needed the storage space underneath (and we don't have space to pull drawers out). Furthermore we had an access issue with a tight turn at the bottom of the stairs. This bed went up in pieces (though the headboard was a tight fit round the corner!) and was relatively easy to put together when we got there! We love it. The headboard is very comfortable to lean against while I feed our new baby.

Gorgeous! Must buy, my son loves it! He's 15 and the king size looks stunning. Really sturdy, think and solid head board works really well, great colour and padding. Lovely quality all round. Easy to put together. Need to put the mattress on to make the hydraulics work, which we had to call to find out. But the assistant was super helpful x

Fantastic quality bed, ottoman function is the best thing since sliced bread!The bed itself is fantastic quality and really in my opinion the only sort of bed base to have as it allows such great easily accessed storage. Easy to put together best done with two, although I did do this one on my own.

Good solid bed. Took about 2 hours to assemble via clear instructions. Glad we went for the solid base instead of the slats. Best value solid base ottoman we could find. Long lead time, but flexible delivery options and good communication and accuracy of delivery timings was helpful.

Wow! I was initially reluctant to buy an ottoman after hearing such bad reviews in the past, but this bed is amazing! It's so solid and well made. Very easy to put together with great instructions, and just a lovely sturdy bed to sleep on! I would definitely recommend to anyone!

Great quality. I assembled it on my own, though i would recommend you do it with two people. Good quality bed. The mechanism works really well and the storage underneath is brilliant. The bed is sturdy and fits the superking matress perfectly without any excess space either sude.

Easy bed to put together with idiot proof instructions (which suits me!). Paperwork says 1.5/2men but I built it on my own in 2hrs with no rushing about. Bought mattress separately but the bed is really comfortable and easy to use.
