Becky's Thoughts On The Sealy Posturetech Supreme Mattress

The Sealy Posturetech Supreme Mattress is a new favourite for customers of the popular retailer, Dreams. This mattress has amassed plenty of reviews in recent months and for good reason. For those that don't know, the Sealy brand is one of the most trusted within the industry and is nowadays part of the Silentnight group, making many of the fillings and features between mattresses within the group being interchangeable.

The Sealy Posturetech Supreme Mattress is a firm tension mattress that is best suited to those that like the firmness by means of preference, or, are looking for that orthopaedic support that will help with back and neck pain.

What makes this mattress stand out above others in it's price point is the addition of latex fillings. Latex fillings give you much of the same comfort as a memory foam layer but with non of the downsides. To start, latex doesn't get too hot, nor too cold, allowing you to get a great nights sleep that is both soft and squishy while having better temperature regulation than memory foam.

What Makes The Sealy Posturetech Supreme Mattress Great?

Comfort Grade - Firm

If you find yourself suffering from back pain then you may want to look at an orthopaedic (fancy word for firm) mattress like this one here. Firmer surfaces put less stress on muscles while sleeping which might be exactly what you need to help your back

Rotate Regularly - Rotate head to toe weekly for the first three months, then every month thereafter

Your mattress should be rotated on a regular basis as this is the easiest way to prolong and increase the longevity of your mattress. The main benefits to regularly rotating your mattress is the continued support and comfort while reducing any risk of sagging that may otherwise occur

Hypoallergenic

This product is unlikely to cause any sort of allergic reaction. Ideal if you suffer from any sort of allergy problems

Comfort Grade - Medium

A Medium firmness mattress is the most common build offered due to the range of suitability offered in such a mattress. This type of mattress will be better suited toward averagely weighted people, while lighter people should opt for a medium-light, and heavier people considering a medium-firm.

Made in the UK

These are made and manufactured in the UK, meaning that they all meet the same exceptional quality and durability that we expect from genuine UK manufacturing.

Posturetech spring mattress

Exclusively to Sealy, the posturetech range offers enhanced comfort and support using their patented spring system

Latex fillings

Latex is a luxurious material of natural origins and is one of the better materials for mattress construction due to it's softness, breathability and resilience. You will find latex often used as a top comfort layer and occasionally used as a core/base layer due to it's additional supportive properties.

About Sealy

Sealy has divisions across the world with renowned manufacturing within the high-end bed and mattress segment for over 100 years. For the UK division of Sealy, the mattress factory is inset within the heart of Cumbria which makes an impressive 3500 mattresses per week.

Single sided - Rotate head to toe weekly for the first three months, then every month thereafter

A single sided mattress is typical for the industry and relates to how  a mattress has the comfort layer on one side of the mattress. only This means that the mattress only needs to be rotated rather than flipped. The benefit of single sided mattresses is that they require less upkeep in that there's no flipping, but also, there's less components involved in the creation which saves costs.

Latex layer

Latex is a luxurious material of natural origins and is one of the better materials for mattress construction due to it's softness, breathability and resilience. You will find latex often used as a top comfort layer and occasionally used as a core/base layer due to it's additional supportive properties.

Quality, comfortable mattress

This is the probably the third or fourth Sealy mattress we have bought over the years - we have never been disappointed. This particular purchase was to replace the 30 year old mattress we have had since we were married, that had been relegated to the spare room - it needed replacing ! Our current mattress in our main bedroom is a king size posturetech Sealy mattress which is extremely comfortable and we thought any house guests deserve the same. Both myself and my wife have various arthritic joints and the mattress gives good, comfortable support when sleeping. I have slept on the new mattress a few times now, and would rate it's firmness as definitely the firmer side of medium, rather than the 'medium' stated - but I have always preferred a firmer mattress so no complaints from me. To sum up, a well made mattress, reasonably priced for the quality, and most importantly, comfortable and supportive.

Comfortable night sleep finally

After spending a fortune on a different mattress that proved so unsupportive and uncomfortable, I made the decision to buy a Sealy again from Dreams and haven’t looked back. Not only was it a cheaper purchase, making it excellent value for money, I’m so pleased with it, I spend more hours in bed now rather than getting up in the night because I can’t sleep. I use the mattress on top of a slatted base. It works well. Highly recommend this mattress for good support, comfortable sleep, value for money.

Great support and comfort

I’ve had this mattress for about 3 weeks now and although it took a couple of nights to get used to as it’s quite a bit firmer than my old mattress, but now I’ve adjusted to it I’m getting a much better night sleep than before, and it’s alleviated any aches and pains I used to get from my old one.

Great mattress

I was wary of ordering a mattress without trying it in store, but I had every confidence in Stephanie who asked us to try the diagnostic beds first. We had a choice and she guided us in which one to buy. Very happy with my purchase
