Comfort Grade - Medium or Firm
Medium Firm is the optimal firmness for a mattress if you are looking for comfort but also suffer from some minor back problems. This is because this type of mattress will ease the amount of strain on your muscles but not in such a way to deter comfort, ensuring a great nights sleep
5 year guarantee
A 5 year guarantee is quite rare in the industry and is a great indicator of the retailer beleiving in their product. Anything go wrong in the next 5 years, no drama, get it replaced.
Hand-tufted
Hand Tufting is a labor intensive process that involves securing the fittings to a mattress rather than having them operate independently and loose within. This small act not only secures, but also leads to the mattress lasting longer and feeling firmer. A hand-tufted mattress is great for anyone looking for additional stability while they sleep.
Depth: 23cm
23CM of mattress height is about standard for a good quality product. While the height of a mattress does not necessarily correlate to the quality, it does become harder to get good quality materials and fillings into a smaller frame. To that end, a mattress of 23cm is a good sign that the mattress may be a quality product. For this size of mattress you should just about be able to use normal fitted sheets without issue.

Double sided - Turn regularly and rotate head to toe weekly for the first three months, then every month thereafter
A double sided mattress has the comfort layer on both sides with the support layer sandwiched in the middle. This setup allows you to both flip and rotate the mattress allowing you to benefit from twice the surface area of comfort, improve settlement of fillings and increase the longevity of the sleep area on the mattress. All great things.
Pure and natural fillings
Pure and natural fillings are typically from animal or plant fibers. These can include: Wool, Cashmere, Hemp or Latex commonly.
Exclusively handmade by Harrison Spinks
Harrison Spinks product mattresses that are handmade in Yorkshire. They are filled with quality, long-lasting and natural mattress fillings as a comfort layer and further enhanced by innovative pocket springs as a support layer. Harrison Spinks mattresses are renowned worldwide for their quality.
Luxurious damask sleeping surface
23cm depth
23cm of mattress depth is enough to house a typical good quality spring system with decent support and comfort layers while also being thin enough to accessorise with standard mattress sheets. No need for deeper sheets and further purchases as a result.
Traditionally hand-tufted to keep fillings aligned
A tufted mattress is often a sign of high quality, Unlike quilted mattress which binds the soft layer directly to the other layers, traditional tufting uses several thick straps to hold the layers together through the spring unit, binding it at each side.
100% recyclable Cortec™ pocket spring unit
The ideal choice in construction when choosing a mattress, pocket sprung mattresses offer, in our opinion, the best combination of support and comfort. The number of pocket springs can be equally important however
Split/zipped comfort grade options to keep both you and your partner sleeping happy
This product is available in multiple firmness grades, better than that however, is that both people sleeping on a mattress can have a completely different experience due to the different firmness ratings in each side. This means when your partner sleeps differently, has a different BMI and different requirements, they can have equal comfort, support and a great nights sleep.
Secured edges with two rows of hand stitching
Secured edges with hand stitching ensures the product is rugged enough to deal with the next 7-8 years of rotating and flipping that will become part of your 1-3 monthly routine. Weak edge support and poor stitching would otherwise cause problems a few years into your purchase.
5-year guarantee as standard
We love a good 5 year guarantee. With 1 year as standard for the vast majority of the mattress industry, 5 years is a pleasant surprise. Remember, the average mattress is typically replaced after a 7 year cycle so being able to have cover for any problems for most of that lifetime is a huge piece of mind benefit that often get's overlooked. Consider also, how much the brand and retailer clearly believe in the product, it is not in their best interests to offer a guarantee on something of poor quality.
Rotate regularly - rotate head to toe once a week for the first three months, then just once a month.
This is a mattress that should be rotated in order to ensure that fillings settle appropriately. Rotating also prevents any dipping.
Pure, natural fillings including Egyptian cotton, wool, mohair and hemp

Turn over regularly - flip over regularly for the first three months, then just seasonally.
It is import to rotate your mattress because it helps ensure even settlement of fillings and ensure even distribution is maintained. Further to this it also means that more than one area of the mattress is used equally, increasing longevity and lifespan as part of typical mattress care.
