What Makes The Tempur Original Elite Mattress Great?

25cm depth

25cm depth is about average for a mattress, it leaves plenty of room for good quality fillings while still allowing you to fit a standard sheet over it.

10 Year Guarantee

A 10 year guarantee is a huge reflection of just how much trust the manufacturer and the retailer have in their product. for reference, mandatory requirements are for a 1 year guarantee.

Premium memory foam mattress

Premium Memory foam is a very popular and luxurious mattress layer to aid in comfort. The buzz around memory foam is well justified, it is incredibly comfortable and makes it feel like you are sleeping on a cloud. Standard caveats apply however, memory foam can make you hot and this may present a problem for those that do find themselves getting warm through the night. For those with this issue, take a look at a Latex mattress. For everyone else though, you cannot beat it.

Low Maintenance Mattress

Low maintenance mattresses are typically one sided meaning that they do not need to be flipped. This is beneficial because, well, mattresses can be heavy and it's a bit of a pain. Another benefit if that single sided mattresses actually tend to be a little bit cheaper, since you're saving money on a layer you won't be sleeping on half the time anyway.

Space Certified Technology

Tempur are the only company to have their mattresses and pillow recognised by NASA with an additional certification from The Space Foundation

Comfort Grade – Medium

A medium tension comfort grade is a good middle-of-the-road level of firmness and softness that gives the vast majority of people a fantastic nights sleep. Dubbed the Goldilocks of mattress firmnesses, the tension is generally regarded as a one-size-fits-all that suits average weighted people who are both side sleepers and back sleepers alike. For those with a bit more weight to them you should perhaps consider a firmer tension, same too if you are lower BMI, perhaps consider a softer tension.

Removable cover, washable at up to 60°C

Removable covers help keep things fresh. The average person keeps their mattress for around 7 to 8 years and over time that can make your mattress a fairly unhygienic place to be. Thanks to the removable cover, you can sleep easy knowing that your mattress and your health, are protected.

Non turn, non-flip

A non turn and non flip mattress is considered very easy maintenance with very little else to do in terms of keeping the mattress in best working condition. This means that the mattress is one sided and has the comfort layer at the top of the mattress only. This means no flipping nor turning is necessary to provide long lasting comfort

We wanted to try an Emma mattress so just bought the bed,my wife said she tried this mattress and it was so soft she just sank into it.i didn't try this but took my wife's opinion.on sleeping on it I found it not as soft as she suggested, only then did she say she only tested the edge.

I can on time and was taken up stairs. We left it a long time to settle but still has a smell. Will take some time to get use to.
