Becky's Thoughts On The Sealy Toledo Support Mattress

The most important component of a good night’s sleep is the mattress, and this could be the one for you. The Toledo Support Mattress comes from bed experts Sealy who have been manufacturing mattresses since 1881, delighting millions of customers in the process and proving to be a top contender in the industry.

The Toledo Support Mattress represents similar form to that expected from such a prestigious company, offering much of the glitz and glamour of far more expensive models. Let’s dive in and take a deeper look at the makeup behind this impressive mattress.

To start, the support layer, that’s the layer that sits at the base of the mattress and provides you with the support for your spine and neck. In this instance Sealy has opted for a firm orthopaedic ZD support layer, also known as Zero Deflection springs. This construction is somewhat unique and uses an offset spring design which allows it to work on a hinge move relative to the sleepers (you) actions as they toss and turn and roll around at night. The result is a very comfortable and affordable support layer which results in a firmer than average surface for sleeping that will remain consistent and measured for years to come.

Onto the comfort layer and you have a fine mix of Tencel fibres and iFibre layer. The result of the tencel is that it helps promote cooling through enhanced breathability, this is important because we sweat at night and often with dense comfort layers we can find ourselves getting too hot. Not so with the Tencel mix on offer here making it ideally suited for those that do need a little bit of temperature regulation while they sleep. The iFibre layer works alongside the support layer to give additional support while also proving to be both soft and durable.

Reviews are still fairly minute at the moment since it is such a new model, however, of the few that we have received feedback seems to be excellent, attaining an impressive 5/5 in the reviews so far and proving to be a contender in our top 10 firm mattresses at time of writing. Reviewers took particular delight in the comfort and value for money reporting great value all round.

Finally, you get an impressive 5 year guarantee which should cover a large portion of the lifespan of the product and provide additional reassurance that the retailer and manufacturer are both on hand to assist should anything occur through that period.

Firmness rating: Firm

When we fall asleep, our muscles relax and what that does is it allows our body to decompress. But when we're sleeping on a too soft mattress, the muscles don't have enough support and they're not getting the proper relaxation. The benefits of a firm mattress are that you're going to sleep more soundly,  your back pain is going to be relieved and you're going to have less muscle aches and pains.
