Becky's Thoughts On The Relyon Bee Cosy 1450 Pocket Memory Mattress

A mattress can make all the difference to a good night's sleep, so it's worth spending a little time choosing the right one. The Myers Bee Cozy mattress is ideal for anyone who suffers from aches and pains, or for anyone who needs extra support in softening their bed. With its 2cm layer of memory foam, you'll enjoy a softer sleep and reduced pressure points on your body.

The medium firmness rating - not too soft, not too firm - means it's easy to get comfortable, while Myers' EdgeMax technology helps ensure no roll-off. The soft and smooth stretch-knit fabric cover allows air to circulate freely to keep you cool at night, while the no-turn design means you simply rotate from end-to-end without ever needing to turn over.

The mattress has a 5 year guarantee against defects in materials and workmanship

What Makes The Relyon Bee Cosy 1450 Pocket Memory Mattress Great?

Made in the UK

These are made and manufactured in the UK, meaning that they all meet the same exceptional quality and durability that we expect from genuine UK manufacturing.

5 year guarantee

A 5 year guarantee is quite rare in the industry and is a great indicator of the retailer beleiving in their product. Anything go wrong in the next 5 years, no drama, get it replaced.

Handcrafted in the UK

Handcrafted in the UK means that the product is built here, by people being paid a fair and honest wage using certified and safe products of good quality and construction. UK manufacturing is some of th best in the world and all of that is reflected in this product

Pressure Relief

One of the big complaints when settling into a new mattress is that it does not feel as comfortable as they hoped, where this mattress shines is in the enhanced pressure relief that it offers. Each part of your body exerts different amounts of pressure against the mattress and through the use of springs and foams, these products are able to offer significant pressure relief as a result across the entire body.

Memory Foam

memory foam is one of the most well known materials used in the upper layer of mattresses. Memory foam basically contours to your entire body with moulding properties. Designed by NASA, this material rebounds to your touch and feels like you are floating on a cloud. Memory foam does not necesserily mean soft either, you can still have firm mattresses for those that want them with a bit of memory foam.

Knitted Cover

It is common in the industry to have a knitted cover, these covers can come in a variety of patterns but are typically hard wearing and do not present problems for consumers.

Medium

A Medium firmness mattress is the most common build offered due to the range of suitability offered in such a mattress. This type of mattress will be better suited toward averagely weighted people, while lighter people should opt for a medium-light, and heavier people considering a medium-firm.

Delivered rolled up and boxed for faster delivery and a smaller carbon footprint

Featuring a 2cm deep layer of memory foam for plush comfort

Memory foam has properties that adapt shape of your body, immediately recovering its original shape once pressure is no longer applied. It adapts to your movements without sinking, ensuring that pressure is not produced, but without the wrapping feeling which would otherwise cause unnatural posture.

Sturdy Superflex Support Foam base

Medium firmness rating - not too soft, not too firm

A medium tension mattress like this is the goldilocks of mattress tensions. Not too soft, nor too firm, medium is typically suitable for the vast majority of people that are looking for a good nights sleep. If you are of average build without back or neck problems, this should be a suitable product. If you are of lower BMI and a side sleeper, consider a softer mattress, whereas if you are of a higher BMI and suffer neck and back pain, consider a firmer tension.

Myers' EdgeMax technology helps ensure no roll-off

Complete support, right to the very edge

Soft and smooth stretch-knit fabric cover

This mattress is made from a luxurious knit top fabric that is perfect for any bed. It is soft and has a gentle stretch for comfort.

Reflex foam

Reflex foam is basically like memory foam without the memory part. Reflex foam is used more as a supportive layer than a comfort layer and is often used as an alternative to conventional spring systems.

Single-sided

Single sided means only one side is comfy. Positives are you only need to rotate the mattress occassionaly rather than the more cumbersome rotate and flip. Downside is the lifespan of the product may suffer as a result, only marginal, but worth mentioning.

No need to turn over, simply rotate from end-to-end

It is import to rotate your mattress because it helps ensure even settlement of fillings and ensure even distribution is maintained. Further to this it also means that more than one area of the mattress is used equally, increasing longevity and lifespan as part of typical mattress care.

Approved by the National Bed Federation

The NBF is one of the most prestigious awarding federations in the industry, helped slightly by the fact that it is one of the only, however, it is still a great source of comfort knowing that this product holds approval by the team

Pocket springs

Pocket springs are like natures own springy piece of comfort, except they are not from nature. Alas, pocket springs are a very good part of a mattress and often found in the more premium models. Lower quality products will frequently use open coil spring setups, where pocket springs house each spring in a tiny pocket for additional stability and continued support. Pocket spring typically lasts longer than open coil due to this.

Reinforced mattress edge

One of the most common complaints in the industry is against mattresses with a weak mattress edge. It can often result in the user feeling like they are going to fall off the side of the bed and bed avoided. This mattress has a reinforced edge, something that helps ensure that particular scenario is avoided when you get close to a mattress edge while sleeping.

Rolled-up

Rolled up mattresses are ideal for anyone looking at trying to get a mattress up a tight staircase or in a car to bring home from the shops. Do not missunderstand just how troublesome getting a mattress up stairs can be. Heavy and cumbersome, sometimes a rolled up mattress that expands to the side of a full mattress anyway, may be the better option

Fire Resistant

Fire resistant does not mean the product will never catch fire, rather, it will not go up in flames quite so quickly. Resistant to fire in the same way that I am resistant to kisses, sooner or later you end up giving in.

Depth: 23cm

23CM of mattress height is about standard for a good quality product. While the height of a mattress does not necessarily correlate to the quality, it does become harder to get good quality materials and fillings into a smaller frame. To that end, a mattress of 23cm is a good sign that the mattress may be a quality product. For this size of mattress you should just about be able to use normal fitted sheets without issue.

23cm deep

23cm Or 9 inches is slightly larger than the industry standard 7 inches. Most offer a range between 10 to 14 inches and the higher the load, the deeper it needs to be. 9 Inches sits comfortably in the lower-middle weight range.

Hurry! This mattress won't be around forever - once it's gone, it's gone!
