What Makes The iGel Advance 2500 Pillow Top Mattress Great?

After discussing having sleepless night and suffer with a bad back, I had a lay on the mattress tester and then decided what level mattress we needed. I cannot tell you how happy I am with this mattress, it is unbelievably comfortable, its not soft that you feel your sinking, but it molds to you body so nice. My back and neck have been amazing (compared to before) since getting this matress. I love this mattress and sleep so much better at night. I have told so many people about it as it is just so so comfortable. Expensive but money definately well spent.

5 year guarantee

A 5 year guarantee is quite rare in the industry and is a great indicator of the retailer beleiving in their product. Anything go wrong in the next 5 years, no drama, get it replaced.

Breathable strong and stretchy mattress fabric provides lasting softness

Perhaps one of the most important qualities to look for in a mattress is breathability, without it they become soiled and damp. This requirement shouldn’t just stop with the top layer it should extend to the cover itself, this stretchy breathable cover will not only keep your nights dry it will also spring back into shape time and time again, getting you the most out of your mattress.

Anti-microbial, anti-bacterial and hypo-allergenic friendly

Anti-Microbial material creates an inhospitable environment for microorganisms that can live on the surface. These include archaea, fungi, protozoa, algae, and viruses. This material is also anti-bacterial, so these single-celled organisms would find it difficult to live in these conditions. These materials are also hypo-allergenic, relieving the symptoms of allergies and asthma, there are few allergens present such as mould and dust mites.

5-year guarantee

This is an exceptional guarantee that is fairly uncommon within the industry, this shows that the retailer and supplier both have huge confidence in the product that they are selling. Any problems in the first 5 years? Call them and they will sort it.

10-Year Guarantee

A 10-year guarantee is fairly unheard if within the mattress industry. Bear in mind that the average mattress has a lifespan of around 7 years before being replaced and you can soon realize why many suppliers do not offer this length of guarantee. When they do, however, like in this instance, you can be assured of a mattress of good quality because otherwise the retailer and supplier would lose money. As such, buy with confidence, if anything does go wrong, you'll be looked after

Hybrid iGel™ temperature regulating technology and pocketed springs with pillowtop comfort

Lots to unpack here. let's start with the iGel. iGel is great as a technology because it has much of the same properties as foam but with non of the temperature issues that can come from it. Moving on to the pocketed springs, another fantastic option, this time in the support layer of the mattress. Pocket Springs are at the top end of support systems in mattresses due to the way they are able to contour effortlessly to the person laying on them. The springs can all work independently, giving you the best comfort at a fair price. Finally, the pillowtop. A pillowtop is basically a secondary comfort layer on top of what was already a pretty good comfort layer already. this means you are getting twice the comfort at the same price and while fitted sheets might be a bit of a pain with this sort of setup, you can just feel the quality that comes with it.

With 7.5cm of extra deep new formula iGel™ for that just right comfort feeling

iGel™ is a material that is specially formulated to help prevent feelings of getting too hot or cold during sleep. The iGel™ layer in these mattresses is more than just conventional gel and features additional Ceramic Technology  that helps ensure excess heat is removed from the mattress and your body when you need it.

iGel™ works with your body’s natural temperature so that you do not sleep too hot, or too cold – you sleep just right

The gel is much cooler than traditional memory foam. It has many of the same properties as memory foam but because of the gel's heat diffusing design, it cools whilst providing good air circulation, pressure relief and support.

iGel™ crystals provide advanced body support by clustering in areas of body pressure, while the Memory Technology in iGel™ relieve aches, pains and pressure points

3000 pocket springs encased inside a protective foam wall, provide you with advanced body support

Pocket springs are some of my favourite in terms of offering a great supportive base for a mattress and these mattresses are no different. Offering an impressive 3000 pocket springs, that works out at considerably more than the 1000 average that you typically find across the industry and works as a strong indicator of the sheer quality that you are getting at this price point. More springs means more body contouring and better support but it is not an indicator of firmness and so do not wrongly assume that these mattresses will be too firm because that is not the case.

34cm mattress depth

The industry standard for mattress depth is 7 inches, with most offering a comfortable 10 to 14 inches. Generally, the higher the load, the deeper it needs to be. But quality is important as a well-built 10-inch mattress can be equally as comfortable and supportive as a budget 12-inch mattress. This 13 inch mattress sits at the higher end of the scale, worth consideration for those requiring support for higher weights.

Choice of two comfort ratings - 3 or 4

This mattress is available in both medium and medium firmness tension grades. These firmnesses are middle-of-the-road one size fits all approach to comfort and one that is likely to suit the average person really well.

Easy care non-turn mattress, rotate occasionally

Non turn mattresses basically mean that the mattress is one sided, this means that the fillings and topper are only on one side so make sure when you first receive the mattress that you put the comfortable side on top otherwise you will have a very uncomfortable sleep. Take note however, a non-turn mattress should still be rotated frequently to prevent the common dip that you may otherwise get from sleeping in the same position over time.

Handles on all sides to aid rotation

Rotating a mattress can actually be a bit of a pain without help and support. That's why we've included some handy-handles to make the job a little easier. Mattresses average around 35-40kg, without handles you sort of have to do that weird third-arm with your head thing that is both unflattering and fairly useless. Trust us, get handles.

iGel’s temperature-regulating mattress with Graphene technology

iGel mattresses are becoming increasingly popular in recent years, on the back of an industry once dominated by memory foam. The iGel range of mattresses has a gel comfort layer that  still gives you the sinking and wrap-around feeling of memory foam, but with better temperature regulation throughout.

2000 pocket springs encased in foam for premium support

Typically, the more springs the better. The average mattress has around 1000 springs and so anything more than that is considered good. The firmness/tension of a mattress is also not dictated by the amount of springs and so you do not need to worry about the firmness being unsuitable when it comes to spring count. Simply the more springs, the better the mattress can contour to your body. 2000 springs is considered great.

Graphene technology provides 7 times better heat transfer

This mattress contains graphene technology gel which has been researched and developed exclusively for Bensons for Beds as part of their iGel range. The graphene gel shares many of the same comfort properties of memory and gel foam but with far better heat transfer, ensuring you remain cool while you sleep.

The FreshNow™ product is the quilted cover part of the mattress.  This cover has better moisture wicking properties than others while also being available in a multitude of different stylings and colours.

AdvantEdge™ - provides premium edge support

Surrounding the mattress is what has been aptly dubbed the AdvantEdge™ foam. This works along side the mattresses springs to offer far better edge to edge support over traditional mattresses with standard rod edge support. The main benefit of this product means that roll-together is prevented alongside roll-off providing an even and measured experience no matter which point of the mattress you are sleeping on.

Vivatex™ safe, soft and greener fillings & fabric

Vivatex™ is used in this mattresses fillings and fabrics and provides a safe hypoallergenic sleep that will be both soft and comfortable while reducing the chance of any additional allergies.

Antibacterial and hypoallergenic

This means that the mattress will be unlikely to cause irritation or allergies when in use due to the materials used in the make-up of the mattress.

Firmness Rating: 3 - medium & 4 - Firm

A medium tension mattress like this is the goldilocks of mattress tensions. Not too soft, nor too firm, medium is typically suitable for the vast majority of people that are looking for a good nights sleep. If you are of average build without back or neck problems, this should be a suitable product. If you are of lower BMI and a side sleeper, consider a softer mattress, whereas if you are of a higher BMI and suffer neck and back pain, consider a firmer tension.

Free full 10-year guarantee

The average mattress lifespan is 7 years. The average guarantee is normally 1 year.
