Flaxby Quilted Pure Cotton Mattress Protector

I was relatively happy with this mattress protector at first look but rather surprised that, after first wash at 40 degrees (as per instructions) it appeared to shrink by a couple of inches and doesn't quite fit the whole of the king size mattress. As I needed to use it I've kept it but not totally happy. (I have purchased much cheaper makes previously and not found shrinkage even with cotton cover). Good points: Thick cotton cover (although it is quite crunchy not really soft cotton it is not particularly noisy). It does not ride or move under a fitted sheet so bed making is simple. Not so good points (for me personally): I prefer a cover with a "skirt" to tuck in rather than elastic straps. Not so happy with the fit - about four inches not wide enough (on a king size) plus a couple of inches or so short on length. Concerned that it might shrink again with a second wash?

The Flaxby Natures Finest 9450 pillow top mattress i tried in the showroom was indeed a very comfortable bed, very supportive with a feeling of quality. Sadly for the first 2 weeks of ownership the medium firmness mattress has been as hard as a wooden table top and caused poor sleep, aching joints and muscles and has been very disappointing so far. I am now in week 3 and the pillow topper has finally started to soften (or i am just getting used to it) and i am hopeful the mattress will eventually live up to the recommendation of the instore bed that analysed how i sleep and suggested this mattress to be the answer. The instore help and service was superb, the mattress is well made and solidly constructed, and ever the optimist i am hopeful to change my review to 5 stars in the coming weeks.

Amazing!! We bought the king size, solid slat bed with a smart 43 LG TV. We assembled the bed ourselves which wasnt too hard as we were given the instructions on purchase to study before it arrived. It arrived within 6 weeks and the delivery men were so friendly they took everything up to our bedroom for us! The frame itself is very sturdy, barely even wobbles (during activities) we probably could have gone for a better mattress but the one we chose suited budget. The tv takes about 20 seconds to go up and down, comes with a remote to go up and down the remote is even a torch as well! Even the headboard is cosy to sit up and lean against with or without pillows. My only wobble with it is I would have liked the frame to be a bit higher. All in all the best purchase weve ever made!

The service from the Dreams store in Berryden was great, with sound advice given and all questions answered. I was kept informed about the scheduled delivery and was provided with a 2 hour time slot the day before, which was confirmed with a telephone call from the drivers on the day. They were courteous and ensured that the mattresses were in place and as expected, removing my old ones, and taking all the packaging away too. My only issue, was that the cost of removing and disposing of my old mattresses had risen significantly, taking advantage of the difficulty accessing uplifts by the council. I would definitely buy from Dreams again and have recommended them to friends and family.

The mattress protector was supplied to me by Dreams as an essential part of taking out insurance on a new mattress. Being pure cotton it is light and cool, it is very lightly padded and would probably fit comfortably in a washing machine. However, it sits on top of the mattress rather than fitting round it like a fitted sheet. It is fixed in place by elastic straps which go diagonally across each corner under the mattress. Whilst this makes it easier to fit, it tends to 'ping' off on a regular basis. This may be worse because I have an extra deep mattress with a fixed pillow top but I would think it would happen anyway.

I made the purchase of this ottoman storage double divan with aquatic mattress and headboard entirely over the telephone. The sales rep at the Grimsby store was so helpful - I knew I wanted a velvet finish to the bed and he was able to assist me with various pricings, options and colourways. When the bed was delivered, the two gentlemen who assembled it were efficient and friendly and took the time to show me how to access the storage - where to hold when lifting and closing (two separate techniques). I am very happy to recommend Dreams for quality, value and service, from showroom to delivery.

After spending a lot on a previous memory foam mattress that was terrible we had to bite the bullet and go back to a spring mattress - initially this mattress was a shock as it felt so firm. I bought a mattress topper (grudginly)to give it a little softness - its now 3/4 weeks in and im much more used to it. Dreams in york sales service was excellent. The communication about delivery was excellent and the delivery lads were excellent, well mannered and even took their shoes off and i never asked them too. The mattress quality is excellent - i maybe should have got a softer setting

This is a comfortable sofa and as a bed it is firm but still fairly comfortable. Think this will mean that it will last longer though as it is a sprung cushion. Really easy to convert from sofa to a bed and back again and has really useful storage in the chaise longue section to put bedding in. Probably not the best for tall people sleeping on the sofa side due to the arms but for a small space it is ideal. Putting it together was simple enough in principle, but the brackets holding each section together didn't go in easily due to the foam padding surrounding it.

The shop and staff were great really sounded interested and knowledgeable of their products. The delivery was good but matress was marked when we got it. So the left it for us with a view to replacing it. Within a few days they were back to collect and leave another one. Which never reached the house as the driver saw and showed us that that was marked as well. So. They took that one back and are now delivering another tomorrow as i write. Fingers crossed. As i said the shop staff were excelent but their dispatch lets them down.

Best mattress ever. Staff was attentive at the store and guided us to what we wanted and needed. The bedframe took a while to arrive, which lead a delay on the mattress delivery. For some reason the store ignored the fact I required the mattress (which they had in stock) and the bed frame to be delivered separate. Eventually got delivered both items 6-7 weeks later. Costumer service that I spoke at 6 weeks was amazing and sorted it our problems. Thank you. Delivery team was attentive and efficient.

Went into shop to just buy a headboard and thought we would just test a couple of mattresses. After testing a couple soon realised how uncomfortable our one was. Went on the sleep machine which told you what sort of mattress best suits you. The staff helped us with all the information and recommended new pillows which must admit also were great. Although we didn't plan on purchase we don't regret decision as mattress has made such a difference. We don't wake up with any aches and pains.

It took me a while to get used to this pillow. I admin initially, I was wondering if I had wasted my money but I persevered with it and found it to be very comfortable. Top tips for using this pillow firstly, pull it in close to your shoulder so you neck can rest on it and ideally you need two next to each other so that when you roll you don't suddenly drop off of it in the night. I have given four stars as you need to purchase two to get the best nights rest.

I ws looking for a hybrid mattress originally but decided to go with a traditional 3000 spring Flaxby. This was after recomendation from the sleepmatch bed and the sales person who was most helpful. So glad I decided on the Flaxby. So comfortable right away not waking up through the night now and realised how much I needed a new materess its made the world of difference. Quick delivery to and had a free matress protector and set of pillows.

Wonderful service very professional in sorting out what we needed, It's a wonderful mattress so comfortable we are getting a quality night's sleep, my son really liked the mattress so much so he bought one 20mins later.. I bought this a month ago now, quick delivery time, and couldn't be happier. I was suffering with horrendous back pain and every morning I would wake up to the pain because of a rubbish mattress, now I don't wake up to any because the mattress supports me in all the correct places. I was very apprehensive spending hundreds of pounds on a mattress now I'd never go back to buying a cheap mattress. Been the best thing ever for me.

This is a great product, well made with a good quality washable coolquilted cotton cover that adds a bit of extra comfort to any matress as well as provid8ng essential protection. The cover us held on to the mattress by four wide elasticated straps, one in each corner. These are ample in size to go around even the deeper topper mattresses without rucking the protector or mis-shaping the mattress. All in all a great product.

...having grown out of the bunk bed he had since he was about 3 years old. Dreams of Basingstoke had a good selection of beds in store to choose from, plus mattresses, pillows, etc. to match. The staff were helpful and friendly. The bed was delivered the following weekend. I assembled the bed, but they offer an assembly service too. In all I'm happy with my purchase. I would shop there again and recommend Dreams to others.

Brilliant assistance in store with a lady who was able to suggest multiple options based on my requirements. I was fortunate enough to pick out a mattress that her son has previously purchased. Albeit fortunate this just gave that extra reassurance about how it is when it arrives new and what to expect of it over the first few months. Great service, with a coffee and a smile. Staff in store were friendly, not pushy and showed us exactly what we asked for. They answered all our questions and arranged delivery for the next weekend as we requested. The delivery guys arrived on time, removed our old mattress and unpacked the one, placed it on our bed base and removed all the packing. Most importantly the new mattress is just as comfortable as the one we tried in store.

Absolutely superb organisation and service from day 1 going in the store to order a bed. I wanted a particular type and was given assistance to help me. I decided to order as I had already seen one in the competitor store next door . The reason being the knowledge, helpfulness and organisation on the day . Clear transparent information. This was my first visit to dreams on the recommendation of my sister. The in-store staff to the delivery team were first class. Professional, knowledgeable, friendly & very helpful. It made my experience flow with ease. My bed has been fab, very comfy & with it being a divan with drawers gives me easy access storage space. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend or use dreams again.

Bed is superb however on ordering I had to wait a considerable time for delivery as they were busy, understandable. this delivery should have been on the 23rd December. On the 21/22nd I received a phone call it would not be delivered until 6th Jan. so had to cancel Friends who were staying for Christmas, such a disappointment. So Dreams. bed 5 starsDreams. 0 stars.

This is a soft and well-fitting mattress cover. I was a bit surprised on opening it that it is topper only style with elastic corner straps rather than sides covering the whole mattress. However, in use they fit and stay well with no movement and will likely make the protector longer lasting as it is the sides and corners of previous protectors which have torn/split.

On October 12th 2021 we purchased a Natures Finest 4450k Mattress at the Milton Keynes branch. We were served by Keith who was helpful, patient, explained our purchase in full detail and made our experience of Dreams a very pleasant one. The two gentlemen that delivered the mattress too were helpful and efficient. Very impressed with Dreams.

Took the mattress test and it suggested the CONFIGURABLE one. It was delivered on time and was put in place without any fuss or problems. We paid to remove the old one and this was also done quickly and efficiently, A good nights sleep for both of us followed without falling into the grooves of our 8 year old mattress. Very Pleased.

The service in the store was fantastic with recommendations and detailed explanations given for bed frames and mattresses'. We tried the sleep match which helped with our choice our mattress. We have had the bed for 2 weeks now and there are issues and with the 8 year guarantee, there is that peace if mind if something does go wrong.

this is described as Product 731-00061-configurable, with no photo! I can only assume that it is the mattress protector I got at the same time. If it is, I found it slightly too small (double bed) and the elastic is very tight. pulling the mattress corners down. I hope that in time this will rectify itself with wear

The process of choosing the right mattress was thorough and informative. Setting up the payment plan was easy, affordable and had many options. Delivery was initially delayed but communication was consistent and I received my mattress a few days later by a lovely couple of guys who laid it into my bedframe for me.

A good quality matress that's extremely comfortable and has excellent support especially as my wife is currently suffering back problems. Had a memory foam matress for the past 8 years and was a bit hesitant to go back to a sprung one but, as it comes with a 40 night guarantee we decided to buy one, glad we did.

Delivery men were very friendly, courteous and wore overshoes and we couldnt have asked for better. Mattress was comfortable from the first nights sleep on it and no waking up in the morning with aching neck, knee and hip joints. A good nights sleep for the first time in ages for both myself and my husband.

We were looking for a new king size bed base, mattress and headboard and liked this particular mattress (the Flaxby Nature's Finest 8150 DNAir) because it was a brand we knew, it had plenty of pocket springs and didn't have a pillow top which means we can turn it over because there's a summer and winter side.

Really good quality mattress protector. Fits in an odd way though as I was expecting it to be like a fitted sheet where it goes round the sides and underneath; but this fits just on the corners using elastic. Because of this its a bit fiddly to fit and would have preferred it like other mattress protectors.

We have had the mattress now for around a month. Im guessing this is what its like to lay on a cloud. We went for the medium option in firmness, which was recommended by the dreams bed computer system. Dreams will be able to assist you in anything need with science to back it up with the computer bed !!

Its a really great product, Ive struggled for years on an old mattress and was very impressed when I went to your store in Maidstone. The salesman was very good and well mannered young man and a credit to your company. Ive never had such great sleep - your computer analysis machine was a real benefit.

We bought this mattress after struggling with a non-sprung mattress bought in lockdown without being able to try it. It has been a complete revelation... sore backs are behind us and this mattress, as well as being extremely supportive, is also really cosy and doesn't feel hard at all. Very pleased!

Having a mattress protector makes perfect sense as it should extend the life of our mattress, which is a huge plus point, given that buying a new mattress is a big investment, so would highly recommend getting one. For the small amount it costs and what it achieves, it's a no-brainer in my opinion.

Sales crew were fantastic, didnt rush us, showed us all the options and left the decision entirely to us. The delivery crew were just as good, really efficient , neat and tidy and very friendly. The mattress itself is perfect for us now, but we could have easily exchanged it had we wished too.

Probably a bit early to give a truly accurate review but it seems to be doing its job ok. Would have preferred a skirted surround but the corner elastic seems to keep it in place nicely. Please note we received this free as part of the insurance we took out on the mattress through Dreams.

Gorgeous mattress, we have it in firm. Lovely quality and extremely comfortable. Because it's hand tufted the edges don't buckle when sat on. The pillow top feels rather luxurious. It was expensive but I view it as an investment to a great nights sleep! hopefully for many years to come.

Great mattress, super comfortable and finally able to sleep in comfort. This mattress adapts to both of our bodies easily, meaning we both sleep with ease. The mattress topper offers that extra layer of comfort needed after a long day. We are super pleased with our purchase.

This protector is the perfect layer to help protect your mattress. It is easily fitted and not too bulky so doesnt adjust the feel of the mattress itself. It would be preferable is the cover went down the side not just as an elastic strap. But it is still a great cover.

Amazing mattress, the only thing Id say is that youd need a thick mattress topper if youre particularly sensitive to the individual dips. My husband and I love it! Its so firm, weve both noticed our back pain has lessened and all in all have slept better.

Great quality protector. Cheaper than a certain big company. Brilliant with elastic at corners and it holds well. Washed before first use as you do with towels to increase absorbency. Line dried fast and remained same size ... no shrinkage. Fit for purpose.

It is the most comfortable mattress that you would sleep on. Complete and utter luxury. Also mattress protector is fantastic, large enough to fit the thick mattress and topper built in with ultra strong elastic corners that fit perfectly on flaxby mattress.

Softer than I was expecting and an essential buy to help protect my mattress as long as possible. It was easier to fit than I had anticipated as the elastic Cross bars just loop over the corners no matter your mattress depth. I would recommend this product

Very disappointing that this product covers only the top surface of the mattress, rather a box-effect. The elasticated looped corner attachments are poor, allowing the cover to crumple in use so that the edges - even on the top surface, are not protected.

Very comfortable and reassuringly firm, which is what I need for my lower back issue. The experience of in-store staff and the mattress testing software (forgot its technical name) (which only took 3 minutes) helped make the right choice on my purchase.

Was advised in shop this was best mattress protector for my new purchase. Only saw it in packet so was quite disappointed when opening it up found it just covers the top of my mattress and not the sides. It wasnt the cheapest and I was expecting more.

The mattress is nice and firm and good for back and side sleeping, but when you sit on the border, it goes very down. This means there is a possibility that you kight fall when you are sleeping. Nevertheless, a very good mattress for a very good price.

Perfect for adding an extra layer on top of my firm mattress. Easy to put on and feels nice to know my mattress is better protected on top of making my bed comfy. This topper is a relatively thin layer bit really good for the points I mentioned above

Extremely comfortable mattress, love that its eco friendly and doesn't off gas like traditional foam mattresses either, no worries and a dream like sleep recently, its really helped me not feel like I've been beaten up in the morning like I used to!

I bought this mattress cover about a month ago and placed it over my new mattress. It's dual purpose is to protect my new mattress from spills and accidents so that it doesn't get stained, but it also forms a comfortable quilted base to lie on.

I have been using Dreams for a couple of years now. The customer service is always satisfactory, their products are durable and comfortable. I would recommend to anybody as I have never been disappointed. I will be a customer for a long time.

Mattress protector is of good quality but is a stretch to get to fit the king size mattress its meant to cover. Also protector is quite thin so offers no real extra cushion, is basically slightly thicker than a sheet but doesn't fit as well.

This Flaxby mattress protector is great. It's light and beautifully made its the perfect thickness as not to interfere with our Flaxby mattress (see my review ) It is a little rustly but not noticeable when on the mattress so not a problem.

The matrice is very good, but a bit thicker than expected, so we are higher up! The edges are very rounded so it tends to reduce the service area slightly and makes sitting on the edge a tad difficult. Otherwise we are very happy with it.

The sofa bed is exactly what we wanted. The size of the sofa is perfext for our home and the size of the converted bed means any friend or family can stay over. The build quality is great and the fabric feel is both comfortable and strong

Purchased both a bed and mattress and both qre perfect. We were also given pillows and a mattress protector. We used the in store sleep machine and the staff were really helpful in store even putting up with our littlw boy running around.

This little piece of genius is a simple, cost effective and necessary addition needed when buying a new mattress. It will prolong the life of the mattress and is soft to touch but strong in protection and will also add even more comfort.

Nice protector that adds an extra bit of comfort. The only drawback is that our mattress is deeper than average, so the elasticated straps at the corner are at full stretch. Something to bear in mind for those choosing deeper mattresses.

Needed a new mattress as my old one (12 years old), had lost some of it support. The Dreams simulator recommend that I try the Harrison Spinks pillow top. Very happy with the quality of the mattress and the (quick) delivery from Dreams.

I had a really enjoyable experience whist in your South Ruislip store! The team were friendly and very helpful! They explained everything that was happening and was able to offer myself a better deal, which I took! Very happy costumer!

Lovely protector. Quilted and supports the comfort of the mattress. Not as good for a deep mattress though as the straps are straining in going around the ends and the protector doesn't quite cover the whole of the top of the mattress.

Ive only just put this on the bed and it is soft and comfy. Unfortunately it has shrunk in the wash so is pulling at the corners slightly. The protector came free with my mattress Insurance so unsure if it is good value for money.

What can I say? Prior to purchasing this mattress I would wake up everyday with backache. Thank you Maitland Mattress my back is fine now and I sleep like a baby. Its so comfortable. I totally recommend it, you wont regret it!!

Was persuaded to buy this along with the new double mattress. It's nice quality and I like that it attaches with elastic at the corners, rather than like a fitted sheet. I'm not entirely convinced that it's worth 40, however!

The Kobe tv bed is amazing! Volume incredible with and without the speakers on. Perfect size and distance from the headrest to the tv. Great space under the bed for storage and on the side for Xbox/play station etc. I love it!

Went to Dreams looking for a new mattress, we found the perfect mattress, we both feel it is so comfortable and have a perfect nights sleep on it. Mattress exceeds our expectations and couldnt be happier with the product.

Easy to fit and very versatile. Not entirely sure about the straps to keep it in place but then, in my experience, I haven't found one that is suitable for securing it in place. Overall, I think this is a good product.

It's fantastic you can try it out in the shop on the configuration machine it tells you what sort of a mattress would be good for good nights sleep also try it at home for 40 days if not suitable you are able to change it

We had a great experience trying different mattresses - we wanted something firm. The mattress was on a divan based in the shop and now its on a wooden sprung slatted bed its a bit firmer, so hopefully will adjust to it.

The mattress is the perfect firmness for us allowing for a great nights sleep from day one. A comfortable supportive mattress I would recommend the Holman pocket sprung mattress to anyone who suffers with back problems.
