The Dreams Luna 1000 Pocket Spring Mattress is one of the more popular in a new line of budget pocket spring mattresses from the retailer Dreams.
This mattress is great for a few reasons, firstly, it is cheap, really cheap. The cost of this mattress is on the lower end in price but by no means a compromise on the fillings and springs included. The Dreams Luna 1000 Pocket Spring Mattress really does tick a lot of boxes.
What’s Inside the Dreams Luna 1000 Pocket Spring Mattress?
To start, you get 1000 pocket spring mattresses. Pocket springs are probably the best mattress base that you can get, contouring to your body and providing equal springy support. 1000 of them is plenty to give you the body contouring necessary to get a good nights sleep while having enough to prevent roll together and feature edge-support.
Further to the pocket springs, you also receive foam layers, now Dreams are eager not to specify memory foam layers in this instance and so we suspect this is going to be purely reflex and body moulding foam, effectively similar in comfort, but without the bounce-back, a compromise, for sure, but not a huge one.
The very top comfort layer provides a memory foam layer that offers a degree of support but the main benefit to this layer is the moulding properties of the foam. Memory foam is one of the most in demand comfort layers and for good reason, it is incredible soft and comfortable and a fan favourite for most who try it. There are the occasional report of heat build up with this type of foam, but the cooling properties of the durable soft touch quilted cover and pocket springs should offset this to some degree.
Finally, this mattress is a roll up bed-in-a-box, similar to the likes of Eve, Simba and Nectar, but with a far keener price point. The benefit of this to the consumer is it is far easier to get into place, but actually, it is far cheaper to manufacturer, and dispatch, saving on delivery costs means that the price of the product savings get passed directly to you, the consumer.
Honestly, it is a no-lose situation and this mattress is a good-buy at a reduced price.
How long does it take for the Dreams Luna 1000 Pocket Spring mattress to expand?
The mattress is delivered rolled and while you can technically begin using it immediately, we would advise giving 48-hours where possible to allow the mattress to fully regain its shape and "breath" appropriately. The inconvenience of letting the mattress regain its original size is offset by lower delivery costs, logistics costs and environmental costs, all of which create savings which are reflected in the extremely reasonable price point given the sheet quality of components.

Customers love this product and it is easy to see why given the vast array of different quality materials included at this price point. Customers particularly enjoyed the support offered y the pocket springs, with many reporting that their back and neck pain has since subsided. This is a frequent mention on pocket spring mattresses like this one and is why it is my personal favourite support layer.
