The ActiGel® Arctic 2600 Mattress by Therapur is one of the most popular within the range, with over 700 positive reviews and a great offer, this is one not to be missed.

Let's start with the support layer, this mattress utilises pocket springs as a base, that's my favourite. A pocket spring base is better than many of the alternatives available, ranging from open coil traditional, to reflex foam, neither offers the same level of support that a pocket spring base can achieve.

Onto the comfort layer and you get a decent serving of actigel. This is the layer that separates your body from the springs and without it your mattress would be far more uncomfortable. Fortunately the actigel layer operates as a fantastic comfort layer and one that serves this product well, giving you a soft, squishy and moulding platform that makes it feel like you are sleeping on a cloud.

I really like this mattress and I'm not alone, the 500+ other people that have reviewed all love it too with an impressive 93% consumer satisfaction at time of writing. This is impressive because it shows that after receiving the product the vast majority are satisfied with the cost, quality and value perceived, all of which are necessary in turning a good product into a great product.

Negative reviews are few and far between but we did find a couple mainly around perceived firmness. What appears to be happening is many of the Dreams shop floor models are due a refresh and as such have naturally softened over time, this in turn creates an unrealistic expectation as the mattresses that are then been delivered are feeling firmer than what was trialled in store. This isn't too much of an issue in that the complaints are not around quality, rather tension differences. We'd advise giving your new mattress sufficient time to bed in as settlement and softening will naturally occur.

Positive reviews far outweigh the negative reviews however, many of which you will see below. Positives include the great back and neck support with many reporting their ailments in this area have completely subsided. Others are quick to remark and the great quality to cost on offer with people saying that their sleep has never been better.

Overall this is a great quality mattress at a reasonable price point. The spring system and the quantity of those springs are both at the upper end of the quality segment and the addition of breathable gel layers for comfort will only further aid in the all around pleasurable experience that this mattress will bring, I love it.

I purchased this bed as a necessity following admission to hospital. I suffer from arthritis in my 5th, 6th and 7th vertebrae as well as my back, which means I have to have a really good bed to meet my needs. Neither can I lie on a bed which has buttons. I also suffer from night sweats and even though my last bed was cooling, it does not compare. Even with the Dreams mattress protector this bed still has the cooling effect, which I havent found elsewhere. The temperature control is a big issue for me Having trawled round various well known bedding shops I was very reluctant to buy as I was concerned that I would not be able to change it if I found it not to be suitable. Eventually I ended up at Dreams whom I understood now to be part of the Tempur group. The lady assistant could not have been more helpful and her customer service was impeccable. Having already tried so many beds I was very sceptical. I was surprised to find that the one I chose seemed to meet all my needs and was reasonably priced for such a high quality bed. The assistant reassured me that if I had any problems I could return it. The delivery was great and the men could not have been more helpful, contacting me at each stage. My first few nights I thought I was going to have to return it but after that the bed seemed to settle quickly and I have slept better than before. Since then I can honestly say that I have not woken in the night with pain in my back as a result of my bed. I am delighted with my new bed and would highly recommend. I purchased the pillows recommended to me too for my arthritic neck and to date I have not woken in the night or in the morning with bad neck pain. I could not be more delighted with my purchases from Dreams.

I have been using this mattress for about a month now, and it is in truth, the best mattress I have ever slept on. I'm a restless sleeper, and while I fall asleep on my front, I wake up on my side so I really need something where I can lie on my shoulder without it feeling like it was getting trapped or pinched underneath me. The mattress provides just the right amount of support and softness that I can move onto my side in the night, sink into the mattress with my shoulder (but not too much at my hip), and not be aware of it or wake up, which was a problem I had with my old mattress. The ActiGel layer is a nice feature that helps regulate the temperature in the bed and stops me from overheating. Just imagine that cool side of the pillow feeling but on your mattress. So far the rebound on the memory foam has also been fantastic, I've had memory foam products in the past where they've started to sag pretty quickly, thankfully that doesn't seem to be the case here. I am rotating the mattress top to toe every week as directed so that may have an impact. I have no complaints at all with the mattress, and am over the moon with it, but some possible points for readers to be aware of: - The ActiGel may not be for everyone, if you feel the cold more then I think this might not be your cup of tea. If that sounds like you I would definietly recommend going into a store and trying the mattress out before buying. - There is a little bit of a smell when you first start using the mattress, I assume from the ActiGel layer, but this has already disappeared from mine after a month of use. Overall I am very satisfied - super comfortable mattress that I look forward to sleeping on every night, worth the money.

I visited Dreams 3 times (twice to try mattresses & 3rd visit for purchase), spent more than intended but so glad I took my time and considered/researched all options, including other mattresses within the TheraPur range. Apparently this mattress made my face & body completely relax, that I couldn't disguise. Back/pelvis issues, menopause/insomniac & married - this mattress works. It's firm, love the cool feel of the top layer (very useful with increasing hot summer nights) and the springs to the edge mean we don't feel movement from each other. The memory foam cradles your body & no dip/movement when either of us moved in the bed, essential for a light sleeper. It has a smooth top layer, no tufts, which keeps my pelvis in alignment and can now side or back sleep again. The quality of fabric & construction is superb, feels & looks luxurious. Consider sex life, only range I came across that factored or mentioned this and yes, it's perfect. No noise or creaking from this bed. I need good rest to do life 'adulting' and not be a whiny toddler! Adored previous mattress and was really reluctant to replace it in case we got our choice wrong. Research & time spent trying it out paid off. If your sales advisor rushes you - go elsewhere or return later. Don't be intimidated into a quick purchase. I had a brand & type, this range definitely changed my mind and would definitely recommend.

I'd been having problems sleeping due to pain in my hips and back and someone said it could be my mattress. I realised my existing mattress was about fifteen years old so went along to find a suitable mattress. Other retailers were pushy and didn't really fill me with confidence that they knew what they were talking about. I visited Dreams and was made to feel welcome and the advisor suggested I try the Sleepmaster (something like that) which I did. It felt awkward at first but I was out totally at ease. I then tried the mattress that the machine suggested and wow it felt perfect. I got a quick delivery date which I was grateful for. The delivery people were lovely too and gave advice about unpacking etc. I couldn't wait to get into bed that night and it was so comfy. Best mattress I have ever had, slept on, we came into the store and got speaking to a member of staff, me and my partner sleep slightly differently so we got into the 3D scanner bed, the lady pointed out a few mattresses that would work for us both, we went to one and as I said I can get hot in bed she pointed out this one, as soon as we laid on it it was like love, it wasnt too much money compared to a lot just right bang in the middle pricing, we did have ideas about memory foam mattress and the zero gravity beds, but after trying out about 5 more mattresses to see if we could get one we like on a zero gravity bed we decided to just lay on this mattress one more time, nothing compared to it, we just loved it, while moving house we paused our delivery, in the house ordered it and so glad we did, have never had a better nights sleep! Love this mattress got a soft feel to it but also nice and firm due to the coils under the gel layer

i purchased this about a month ago after having years of shoulder and back pain. decided to spend the money and get something decent. from the moment i walked in to the store i knew i was being looked after. they layed me and my wife on the bed where they scanned our positions and offered us a mattress and pillows that would suit. followed their recommendations and tried a few out of the scope too. bought this one as it was a happy medium and since my back and shoulder pain is now virtually gone! so happy with my purchase!! even the delivery guys were great! carried everything upstairs for me and we assembled it ourselves (bought a duvan bed frame so very easy) again extremely happy and so worth the money considering how much time we spend sleeping or in bed in general.

Me and my wife have been through 4 mattresses in the last 5 years; an Eve, a Simba, an Emma and a SilentNight. We just couldnt find the right one and the biggest issue with all 4 was that they provided very poor lower back support or if you're a side sleeper to centered support. The Therapur does just that! We've had it for 2 weeks now and it is a dream. There is medium-firm support whether u lie on your back or side. If one of us gets up in the middle of the night the mattress doesn't move so the other stays sleeping. In addition, the mattress comes with a cooling layer on top which is meant to keep sleepers cool if one of you gets hot! We invited family round to try it and they agree that the statement of "like sleeping on a cloud" is spot on!

I suffer with Ankylosing Spondylitis and needed a new mattress and i eventually found myself looking at mattresses from Dreams in Clydebank. I always feel that as soon as you enter any store, salespeople are on you in seconds. That was true, but what was different, is that everything was explained to me about doing a mattress test and i was left alone to do the test to find what mattress best suited me. From there, i was shown many mattresses to try but left alone to try without the salesperson being pushy. When i decided what mattress best suited me, it was nice to hear the sales girl say, she had the exact same mattress. I now have a very genuine good mattress that helps support my back and i could not be happier with my choice.

Bought this 4 weeks ago as both mine and my partners backs are terrible we both suffer with arthritis in our spines and hips and had been in agony every morning with our last mattress. We needed support and comfort and also Im going through the menopause so get bad night sweats so the therapur with cooling top layer was recommended after the bed sleep test. Wow this mattress!!! We recently moved and bought a new super king size bed and wanted to invest in a good mattress to go with this. Having visited our local Dreams store we were able to spend loads of time checking out the range of different mattresses and decided on the TheraPur. Having had a very informative and helpful visit to our local Dreams store at which the decision to buy a new mattress was made easy by accessing the sleep and posture analysis bed/machine, we were further pleased that it was delivered just one week later. The mattress is very comfortable indeed and within a night or two we both noticed considerable improvement in both the quality and the unbroken duration of our sleep. This is a mattress in the higher end of the price range but as is generally true in life, you get what you pay for. We have had this mattress for over a month now and If quality sleep is important to you then this mattress must be worth considering.

My wife and I had been struggling to get a good night's sleep on our 10 year old mattress. Whilst on appearance it still looked fine, in reality it wasn't. My own preference, I thought, was for a very soft mattress. The sales rep took us through the Sleepmatch technology, which instantly recommended a handful of mattresses. Myself and my wife visited our local Dreams store, whilst browsing inside we were approached by a very helpful sales assistant who after chatting to us for a while, suggested we may like to try out the sleepmatch, which would work out the exact mattress to suit our Sleep patterns. After looking at several beds we finally decided on the Artic 2600 mattress. The reason for choosing the mattress was its cooling gel technology which we find to be very useful in the warmer months. The pocketed & support springs perfectly mould to the contour of our Shape. The bed was further reduced over the bank holiday weekend sales so the price was very good.

I have had this for about a month now took a little while to get used to the new firm mattress as my old one was well passed it and unsupportive. However, we have noticed this appears shorter than the last we bought from Dreams as our pillows slide down the head end during sleep. We have pushed up the mattress as far as poss and a noticeable space or gap is now at the bottom end. It is really nice to have the support back in a bed for a good sleep. Delivery was exceptional. We bought this about a month ago. We love how comfortable it is, so much better than our previous mattress. We were told that the ActiGel topper doesn't heat up like memory foam does - I've found it warmer than our previous mattress which didn't have any sort of topper, but certainly not too hot, despite the temperature being quite warm some nights recently. I can only imagine that memory foam warms up much more. I still find it odd seeing the thickness of it, as our previous mattress was much thinner, but it's nice being able to get into bed without having to bend down. A really comfortable night's sleep! Would definitely recommend.

We bought this excellent mattress about a month ago after taking the Dream Sleep assessment and found our choice to be absolutely the right one! Jackie took us through all our options and gave us plenty of time to make our decision. Having slept on this mattress my lower back pain has completely gone and sleep right through to morning, I wake refreshed and with no pain. My wife also loves the mattress as now her neck ache has subsided, also there is no disturbance when either of of turn in bed which aids for better sleep pattens. This mattress feels so luxurious, I have never slept on such a comfortable bed and still cant really believe that it is ours! I work on my feet all day and was starting to get hip pain and at times, shoulder pain too. This has now gone and we have only had the mattress for three weeks. I could tell this difference with the cooling gel straight away. I was worried it would feel cold immediately on getting into bed but this is not the case. It seems to regulate my body temperature all night. Am interested to see what it will be like in the summer. I could not recommend this mattress highly enough!

What can i say... this is the best mattress weve ever had, the comfort alone is amazing and then you have the TheraPur ActiGel topper just makes it a cut above the rest. If you get hot in the night and you cant sleep with being so uncomfortably hot then this is an absolute must for you but don't think that this is a cold mattress to sleep on, it seems to be cool when you need it but also keep you at a nice comfortable temperature so you're not throwing the covers off one minute and then needing them on again the next. Trust me, you dont know how much you need this mattress until you have it.

This has changed my life. Am now able to sleep properly. Being a woman of a certain age I needed something to help with the consistent sleepless nights, and the discomfort I was experiencing from my brick of a mattress I had. It's not too soft in the slightest but is cushioned enough to no longer wake with a painful hip or knee from sleeping on my side. It's bliss. I bought a pure cotton mattress protector and the overheating in my sleep has reduced drastically. I'm hoping it lasts, but would most definitely recommend both the mattress and the sales staff. We really needed a new mattress having had the previous mattress for 8 years and the old bed base for 43 years. It's taken me and my husband a few weeks to adjust and get used to the new mattress because the old one had gone so soft. I bought this bed over a month ago and the memory foam one had needed replacing and make me too hot. I was drawn to how cool this one felt in the shop. My concern was the mattress protector they said they would throw in with the deal was very thick . By the time the sheet was on top you wouldnt feel the cool layer. We were told to go for the tempur protector which we did as this one was much thinner. Now its taken about 3 weeks to get used to the bed but if Im honest I think the cooling mat is not as effective as it could be with the protector and fitted sheet.

I had tried something similar when on holiday in Tresco, Isles of Scilly, and had had the best nights sleep for a long time. I made the decision then to investigate a new mattress on my return home. I went with a friend to the large Dreams store in Oxford and chose my mattress because it felt similar to the one on holiday. I havent regretted the decision even though I had to buy new fitted sheets because of the thickness of the mattress! Great for someone who has is either a back or side sleeper (presumably stomach as well, I wouldnt know.) I suffered some serious spinal injuries and debilitating pain due to 7 herniated discs in the lower back and neck and require a well-constructed mattress on the stiffer side; but as a side sleeper, whose weight tends to place heaviest in the hips overnight, it had to provide enough cushion to support alignment while not being so unforgiving as to cause discomfort. I am happy to say it has passed with flying colors (so much so that I bought two)

I was sceptical about the comfort and worried about heat from the gel topped mattress, having used a foam topper for over three years, but I was worrying unnecessarily! The bed is absolutely cool and so comfortable that it is like sleeping on a cloud! I genuinely cannot wait to get unto bed each evening and often retire to the comfort and cosiness of my bed. The mattress is deeper than normal so I do have to buy extra deep fitted sheets or a king size flat sheets. but the mattress has transformed my sleep so that's a small price to pay!

Very comfortable mattress, I sleep on my back and my partner sleeps on their side we cannot feel any dipping or movement like our previous mattress when in bed. We have only had this for winter so far however do not find the cooling effect very 'cooling' which has been great for the winter. However for the summer we may need to try different bedding to keep it cool. Mattress is very deep which is great for us as we didn't want our bed to be too low, however this means we had to pay attention to mattress cover depths when purchasing.

Right from our entrance to the store, Steve was super helpful. We used the mattress tester to see which was best for us. Steve really knew his stuff! We picked the mattress and the pillows used for the testing (amazing!). We called over the phone the following day to purchase over the phone, the person we spoke to was able to find our recommendations and process the order. I have had this about 6 weeks now. I was having a lot of hip pain and this mattress has really helped ease this. Very comfortable. There is no roll together which is good. However, the gel top is very disappointing it does not keep you cool and I am far too hot at night. The mattress also retains your body heat so if you go to the loo in the night the mattress is still hot when you get back in bed. I could have saved some money and just bought a standard pillow top mattress. Not sure whether the gel could just be faulty?

After a few weeks I can say that I'll never go back to anything that doesn't have the cool effect. The surface is weirdly cool when you touch it but it's not cold when you sleep on it. I needed duvets hot enough to fall asleep but then I used to wake up constantly because I was too hot. That's not happening anymore. My back problems are not gone but they're much MUCH better. The mattress is super firm and supportive but still soft. It's not cheap but if it lasts all the years it's supposed to last, it's worth every penny.

I am a physically active sportsman side sleeper and have sporadic pain in my shoulders at night and wanted a supportive mattress that wouldn't sag into the middle but soft enough on top for my shoulders to sink into. This mattress is pretty comfortable, although it took a few days to settle and we both commented on how firm it was. We were both surprised that it was not as soft as the one we tried in the store. My husband was really happy with it straight away but it has taken me longer to get used to it. We have a mattress topper covering it and this seems to affect the cooling properties of the gel , so it isnt as effective as I was expecting. Despite this it is ok but not as comfortable for me as I would have hoped.

Couldnt recommend this mattress enough! Its perfect for those who arent too keen on purely memory foam mattresses or entirely spring based. This is a perfect meet in the middle! I was also sceptical about the cooling effect of the AntiGel that disperses heat throughout the mattress but in these hot nights in the heatwave we were the most comfortable weve ever been sleeping! No more excessive sweating! Couldnt recommend enough! And dreams have been an absolute pleasure to work with beginning to end!

We tried this mattress in store and it was definitely our favourite. It was so comfy!! And it really has kept us cool in the heatwave. So over the moon with it and have not woken up in the night since. Its quite a thick mattress compared to most due to the gel layer but 30cm deep fitted sheet fits perfectly. The delivery guys were amazing as well, so friendly and courteous of my stuff, moving a vase out of the way just incase and putting on overshoes. Would highly recommend this mattress and Dreams

We got a super king size about a month ago. We were used to a low profile bed/mattress so this one is a lot higher at 12 plus inches. Its not ideal with a baby and toddler to get on and off and have a near me cot. Also there is a slight gap at the top by the head board. I am used to putting my phone there. With this mattress the phone falls through all the time from the top end of the mattress. On a positive note it does feel sturdy. Not sure if I appreciate the temperature control gels effect.

We ended up going for the Therpur antigell 2200 mattress which is more than we anticipated spending but it is so comfy and it's generally helped us already as we both struggled with sleeping.. The person at dreams was also very helpful and knowledgeable and not a pushy salesman at all as we visited on three separate occassions.

Had this for a couple of weeks now and it's really comfortable. Went shopping for a new mattress as we'd started to wake up aching from our old, firm one. We tried several in the shop and despite this being a lot more than we had intended to pay it was by far the most comfortable for us and we kept going back to it. Delighted! Having persevered with the memory foam mattress which claim they are the best i was excited to get our new mattress. A massive upgrade for us from our cheap IKEA mattress. The weather has been on the warm side and I'm definitely sleeping cooler thanks to this mattress. I haven't seen a miraculous change in my backache like other reviews suggest so it's likely more to do with the way I sleep than the mattress. 4 stars I highly recommend but don't expect it to solve all your back and restless sleep problems. Reccomend you get some extra deep bottom sheets as this thing is super deep.

The bed is very comfy, but when other people join, I worry a bit about them leaving an imprint. But the gel stuff does seem to spring back up! I need to remember to rotate it. Very comfortable mattress if you both prefer a firmer surface and sleep hot. The cooling gel seems like a fad but it genuinely feels great and regulates my temperature as I sleep, even though a mattress protector and bedsheets. Importantly bot my partner and I can toss and turn with disturbing each other. My only criticism is that it gets very hot when you lie on it. I suspect this the gel layer. Only snags I would say is that you need quite tightly fit bedding for it not to crinkle in places above the ActiGel layer and if you have two heavy people on it, you tend to roll slightly into the middle vs that of a memory foam mattress. Sorry if this is a daft question, but what is the difference between the zipped and non-zippe' option on the superking size mattress ?. Does that mean that the mattress can be split into 2 single mattresses if it is zipped, but not if it is non-zipped ?.

I have just ordered this from Dreams. I have since read that mattresses with a pillow top do not last that long due to sagging of the top. Im hoping this is not the case with this mattress as it is quite expensive.

Although in order to extend the lifespan on your mattress and keep it in great shape, then please follow the care advice. Can I please double check what the guarantee/ warranty is on these mattresses? I have recently been in to store and advised that the warranty is 10 years, however when looking on your website it is stating 1 year. Can you clarify which is correct.
