Let's start with the comfort layer, the eco comfort fibres have become a household favourite and utilised throughout most of the new Silentnight mattresses coming out since 2019. Eco comfort fibres are great because they are good on the environment and are made from recycled plastic bottles, giving you a soft, durable and hygienic nights sleep. Onto the support layer that sits at the base of the mattress, you are again faced with familiarity with the well utilised and well reviewed Mirapocket springs that are found in the majority of Silentnight's mid to high quality ranges. Lower quality ranges often feature a Miracoil layer that doesn't have the same body contouring and edge to edge support.
The result of this base layer combined with the comfort layer is ultimately a very familiar ordeal from Silentnight, but in a good way. It takes their favourite comfort layer and combines it with my personal favourite base layer resulting in a fantastic all-rounder that will appeal to many.
When it comes to the tension of the mattress, you have a firmer support that will be great for additional neck and back tension, bolstered by those tightly wound springs contouring to each touch point and body position change. Due to the firmness you may want to look elsewhere if you are a side sleeper or someone who isn't looking for a firmer preference as this is more of a specialist product than what we would typically recommend. For the average person who sleeps on their side, we would normally recommend the medium tension (though take a look at the mattress wizard above for some more tailored advice).
