I ordered the Abbey metal bed frame online from Dreams after browsing their website for a while. Ultimately I was looking for a simple but elegant bed frame that would fit in one of my smaller spare bedrooms that would match my minimalist decor. I chose the grey colour option, but they also have white and pink available at the same price point.
The delivery of the frame was fast and efficient with it arriving within 2 weeks, at which point we took to work with assembly. That assembly was fairly straightforward, following the clear instructions and using the tools provided. The different size screws and washers were already sorted in a blister pack, which saved me a lot of time and hassle although we were missing one screw which meant affixing the head end was a bit more of a challenge.
I'm very happy with the end result as the bed frame looks great in my bedroom thanks to its sleek design which doesn't take up too much space or overwhelm the room. The metal is sturdy and durable but it doesn't squeak or wobble when I move around on it. The headboard and foot end are comfortable to lean against when reading or watching TV.
I opted for the solid slats option, which works fine for me as I have a medium-firm memory foam mattress that doesn't need much extra support. However, if you have a softer or heavier mattress, you might want to upgrade to sprung slats for more comfort and durability.
As far as final thoughts go, I would recommend the Abbey metal bed frame to anyone looking for a stylish and affordable option. It's a great choice for those with smaller bedrooms and minimalist decor, and the various colour options make it easy to match with your existing furniture.
