Tests & Verdict

Here we collect tests, guides and product reviews so that you can create a picture of what others think about the product. This analysis and review is based on my experience and 12+ years of industry insight.

Exceptional Value: Far exceeds expectations for its price range.

Firm Support: Ideal for back sleepers and those who need extra spinal support.

Memory Foam Bonus: A luxury feature that's rare in budget mattresses.

Soft Quilted Cover: Adds a touch of coziness without compromising support.

Heat Retention: The mattress can get warm, which might be an issue for some.

Limited Reviews: Being a new model, long-term durability is yet to be proven.

Not for Side Sleepers: The firmness level may not be comfortable for side sleepers.

No good for most adults: Even with the firmer tension, the depth and construction of the open spring base are not the sort of characteristics that work well in a daily use adult mattress. That side, good for spare rooms.

Why our sleep experts loved it

Today we are looking at the Dreams Workshop Parker Combination Mattress; a budget-friendly option for those who crave firm support coupled with the plush comfort of memory foam. This mattress is a hybrid marvel, offering a unique blend of traditional springs and modern foam technology, all encased in a soft, quilted cover. It's also fairly cheap for the composition, so will it suit? Let's dive into the specifications and find out.

Who Is This Product For?

This mattress is a godsend for back sleepers who require firm support to maintain spinal alignment. It's also an excellent choice for those who are budget-conscious but unwilling to compromise on quality. While side sleepers might find the firmness a bit too much, back sleepers will revel in the support it offers.

What Do We Use This Product For?

Primarily, this mattress is designed to provide a restorative sleep experience. Its firm tension is engineered to support your back, while the memory foam layer contours to your body, relieving pressure points. It's an ideal choice for guest bedrooms, offering a comfortable yet affordable sleeping solution.

Features You Should Know About

288 Traditional Springs: Offers a firm comfort grade for superior support.

Memory Foam Layer: Provides pressure relief and adapts to your body shape.

Soft Touch Quilted Cover: Adds an extra layer of comfort and luxury.

Single-Sided: No need to flip the mattress, making maintenance a breeze.

Made in the UK: Expertly handcrafted to ensure quality and durability.

Review

After spending a bit of time on this mattress in our local Dreams store, I can confidently say it's a hidden gem in the budget category for certain sleepers. The firmness level is spot-on for back sleepers like myself while the memory foam layer is a pleasant surprise at this price point, offering a gentle cradle for the body without making you feel stuck. However, the mattress does tend to get a bit warm, so if you're someone who sleeps hot, you might want to consider other options. Further to this, it's likely not going to suit most adults as it is more tailored toward children and teenagers. As a sleep advocate, I can't recommend this for everyday use, although it will absolutely suit spare rooms.

In summary, the Dreams Workshop Parker Combination Mattress is a budget-friendly option that doesn't skimp on features. It's a firm, supportive mattress with the added benefit of a memory foam layer, making it a versatile choice for various sleepers, although it shines brightest for back sleepers and those of younger age range.

Amazingly comfy mattress at a very fair price. The dreams delivery drivers took it up to the bedroom, placed it on the bed frame and even took the packaging away; they also gave me some care instructions! You couldnt get a more comfy sprung/memory foam topped mattress for the price
