The exception that stands out came from an owner whose slatted base broke after a few months and who called it "Not value for money".
What Customers Thought
Owners are mostly very happy with the Durham, and the praise centres on how solid it feels and how it looks. "It's solid and proper sturdy," one owner wrote. Assembly gets nearly as many mentions, and most found it easy. The slats are the fiddly bit: one owner warned that "you definitely need a rubber mallet to hammer in the black plastic ends on the wooden slats". A few frames have failed in use: one owner said it "did break and we had to tape one of the sides", and another's "Central bar buckled" in less than a year as their main bed. The other is damage in transit, from chipped panels to missing parts, and how it was put right varies, from an exchange within ten business days to one owner still waiting on a refund after more than a month.

While the Durham bed frame does hold its grounds in a competitive market, the final decision, as always, ultimately depends on personal preferences and individual needs.
