Our testing process took place in-store, offering us the hands-on experience necessary for an informative review. While we were unable to take the bed frame home for a timely trial, we nevertheless made the most of our in-store trial. Over an extensive period of time, we examined the bed frame's attributes, checked out its functionalities, and looked into its various elements. The objective was to gauge the bed frame's overall usability, comfort level, and quality from a potential customer's perspective.
Design and Features
The Deacon Sleepmotion Adjustable Upholstered Bed Frame makes its initial impression with its stylish aesthetic. With two elegant shades, natural and grey, offered in a woven fabric material, it instantly blends into any bedroom decor. With its high headboard and quilted button detailing, it presents a modern and luxurious profile. Not to be outdone by looks, the frame is also packed with high-end functionalities. Its compatibility with Sleepmotion 200i, 400i and 200u&i bases is a results-oriented feature promising enhanced comfort, transforming it from a mere bed frame into an adjustable sleep solution.
Construction
Durability is a strength here with the bed frame's overall sturdy construction. The Sleepmotion bed frame has a maximum weight capacity of 355kg, illustrating its robust build. Two key adjustable areas for the back and feet, in combination with carefully distributed Zero Gravity technology, ensure a pleasant and restful sleep experience. The frame can be controlled via the accompanying wireless remote or the North by Dreams app, giving you flexibility and ease of usage. That said, it's a hefty bit of kit, so getting it into the room and set up can be a bit of a faff, especially up stairs.

If you're sensitive to noise, it's worth bearing in mind that adjustable bases can make a bit of motor noise when moving, so it might not be ideal if you're constantly tweaking positions during the night.
What Customers Thought
Owners mostly talk about comfort and looks. One wrote "It’s the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept on", and another called it an "Absolutely gorgeous bed, frame and headboard." The zero gravity setting gets a mention ("The zero gravity setting is so comfy"). So does sitting up in bed: "Being able to sit up watch TV at weekends and having a morning brew is wonderful." A few owners say it has helped with back pain or a medical condition, one writing that it "has help reduce my lower back pain".
The complaints are spread fairly evenly across colour, weight, the frame itself and orders that went wrong. A few owners found the grey came out green or blue ("wouldn't say its grey more of a green"). One warned it is "very heavy, you will need at least 2 people" to build. On the frame and the orders, one owner said "the metal rods at the bottom don’t adequately hold the mattress", another found the frame unstable because it clips on around the bed rather than attaching to it, and one was still waiting for the electric part months after buying.
