Hi I have an adjustable bed. brought my last Tempur mattress designed for adjustable beds about 8 years ago. I was sleeping less than an hour a night for 18 months and even scared to go to bed due to chronic pain. Being disabled you get VAT relief on items to help with your condition. When I purchased my first Tempur mattress I got VAT taken off when I purchased it. Due to not being able to sleep flat from 4 major spine and spinal cord surgeries all leaving me in more pain and worse off from surgery. We could not afford a new Tempur mattress really the only silver lining was we would get the VAT taken off went to same store, we live in same home. Staff said they don’t do it when you purchase in store anymore and it would be down by customer services. I gave them evidence and they sent that off when we brought the new mattress that is specifically designed for adjustable beds. I phoned after delivery to check about how much the payments would be with the VAT removed. But was very unhelpful and said it was a luxury purchase and not due VAT off. I explained that we confirmed before we brought it with the guys in the shop and they said it would be deducted through customer services. The mattress has work wonders and I’m now getting 3 hours sleep a night. Which is nearly four fold. The woman I spoke to probably 2 wks ago said a manager whom could deal with this was going to phone me at some point but still haven’t heard anything. We did everything right to ask and check.

Bought this mattress from Dreams almost one year ago. As with every new thing, you’re excited and see only the good parts, in this case, how confy the mattress is, how you don't feel when your partner moves, etc. But there's something really wrong with this mattress and this is not only my opinion, my wife strongly agrees with me. As long as you are alone in bed, Yes, it's amazing, you are floating, no pressure points, great sleep. But, and this is a big BUT: The mattress slowly sinks under your weight, taking the shape of your body. But what happens when two bodies are next to each other? The mattress obviously sinks, obviously in the middle of the bed, creating a massive "valley" and your bodies will be dragged at the bottom of that valley. You'll wake up in the night, like sitting in a hammock, glued to your partner. The sides of mattress are staying high and firm and the centre of the mattress will be at it's lowest. You will climb towards the side, trying to get out from the valley, and you'll find yourself back in again and again. You might think we are heavy people! Yeah right, I'm 72Kg and 1.87m that something like 11 stones and just over 6ft, and my Mrs is 62Kg, so I don't think we are overwhelming the mattress in any way. If you sleep alone in your bed, Yes, best thing the money can buy. If you are a couple, big NO! We've bought the tallest one, paid a lot of money, and not even one year later we are 100% it has to go, reason why I've decided to leave this review. Best of luck.

It does support most of your body rather well overall but if you are a man with wider shoulders you will wake up with shoulder and pain in your ribs without getting a good night's sleep. After spending a lot of money to upgrade to this bed I am left very disappointed as I have done nothing but toss and turn all night in discomfort. I will probably have to try and find a zoned mattress topper to cushion my shoulders which are like hen's teeth in the UK. For the sheer price of this mattress I would have thought the comfort layers would have been slightly thicker and I am a bit annoyed I will have to shop for more items to get a good night's sleep on it. We were sold this mattress believing that it would reduce pressure points but it's barely done that and compared to the old one and has put a lot of pressure on my spine and rib cage. This was after using the sleep match feature in-store so I am really hoping this mattress softens up a bit here in the problem areas. The whole gimmick about it being having cooling features is complete nonsense too, If anything it's a lot warmer than any bed I have had previously, but I sleep with a fan on so that's not the end of the world. Overall not all that impressed considering the price of it, considering I had to take finance out to pay for it too. If these mattresses had zoned support they would be top notch but I don't think they are built for men with wider shoulders.

I tried this Hypnos mattress at our local store and knew instantly, that having looked for some time for a wool mattress that this was the one. The sales person at the store was very informative and there was currently a competitive price on it. It is an expensive mattress but learning about the credentials of Hypnos and how many hours of a life are spent sleeping, it seemed a sound investment. Bensons really provide a good service, taking away our old mattress, and the crew who delivered it were friendly and professional. The mattress initially felt hard, but that is to be expected with a new bed. I have been rotating it once a week and can feel that it is beginning to relax. It feels higher than our previous mattress and quite luxurious. One of the factors that drew me to a wool mattress was to have cooler night sleeps. As its winter I've yet to test this out. Overall I am really pleased with this mattress, and am sleeping much better than previously. The only negative is the wait for delivery which was around 2 months! However I believe that this is because it is a quality product with hand made attention. Finally the follow up email communications with Bensons has been great, which makes you feel that you are a valued customer.

I waited approximately 6 weeks and several mattress turns before my review for my Hypnos Earth 01. I changed my original mattress from Bensons for this one, big upgrade £ wise. I wanted a firm mattress with a soft outer. I took the advice and swapped for the Hypnos 01 Firm instead of Extra firm. The mattress is super comfortable just dips a little when in it (I weigh 9.5 stone). I have never slept better so now I can justify the outlay! No getting used to it at all, I drop off so quickly and stay asleep all night. On reflection I would have ordered the Extra firm as this mattress is well padded with my theory being it might last longer but I know diddly squat about mattresses to be honest. Really impressed with Hypnos though, lovely quality. Onto Bensons; they were so helpful. On changing my mattress to communications generally just excellent. From customer services, the delivery coordinator and the delivery guys. It really blows your mind when you get really good service these days, they follow through on everything. My sister in law recommended them, she wouldn't use any other company and I see why! Highly recommend and many thanks to you all. A happy sleeper

I bought the Hypnos Inspired by Nature 02 from my local Bensons for Beds showroom three weeks ago. The staff there were great: very helpful, patient with all my questions and clearly knowledgeable. I have no complaints about the service I received in store. I chose this mattress because it was made from natural materials and because of Hypnos's reputation for quality and comfort. With a retail price of £2,299, I expected something that felt and looked genuinely premium. Unfortunately, that hasn't been my experience. When the mattress arrived, I was immediately underwhelmed by the finish. The beading around the edge was uneven, the label was stitched on crookedly, and overall it just didn't look like a mattress costing over £2,000. I know these things don't necessarily affect how well you sleep, but at this price I'd expect better attention to detail. After just three weeks, I'm also disappointed with how the mattress itself is holding up. I find the tufts incredibly uncomfortable, and the sides started to lose their shape after only a week. There's now a drop of around 1.5 cm along the sides, despite the fact that I don't sit on the edge of the bed. I've also noticed that the outer fabric is already loose enough to pinch into folds where it appears to have separated from the filling. I appreciate that natural fillings settle over time, but I'm struggling to understand how these changes can be considered acceptable after such a short period of use. After the first week, I visited a larger Bensons showroom and mentioned to a member of staff that the sides of their display Hypnos mattresses appeared to have collapsed. I was told that this would happen after a couple of months. I found that quite concerning, particularly given what I was already noticing with my own mattress. The biggest issue for me is that the mattress simply doesn't feel luxurious. Between the uncomfortable tufts, the changes in the sides and the overall finish, it hasn't lived up to what I expected from either Hypnos or a mattress at this price. I honestly feel sick when I think about how much I spent compared with what I've ended up with. I want to be clear that the staff at my local Bensons were excellent, and I appreciate the time they took to help me choose a mattress. Bensons also has a good range of products for different budgets and needs. But my experience with this particular mattress has been a huge disappointment, and I don't feel it represents good value for money.

Exchanged our mattress to the medium tension this was the biggest mistake we've ever made. Warning to everyone this states medium but it is so soft instantly I was in so much pain with my back cannot sleep on it at all £2700 down the drain. we are not heavy people and even after a short time there is dipping. My husband has been persevering on it to see if we just needed to adjust but definitely not The mattress is too soft. I personally cannot sleep on it at all and I'm currently in another room until we have the chance to go out and find another mattress. This really was a huge mistake, particularly after going on Hypnos website and themselves even stating a lot of their mattresses are sold and marketed as medium but in fact they feel is medium soft. This is nothing like what we tried in store absolutely devastated.
