Sealy Nostromo 1400 Pocket Latex Mattress

This really is a fabulous mattress. I am awaiting a hip replacement due to osteoarthritis, so I needed something that would give me both adequate support combined with a soft top to relieve pressure, and this mattress really delivers. I am a side-sleeper, so usually I wake myself up everytime I turn over onto my bad hip, but not in this case. I find it to be fully supportive of my spine and shoulders, as well as cushioning those pressure points we all have, and would say that the description of 'medium' is spot-on. Do give it a couple of days' sleeping on though- it was initially very firm and unforgiving, but after two nights I was sleeping like a baby. A which? best buy and deservedly so. Top marks!

Mattress purchased as it has been a "which" best buy for a few years. We've had it for a week and it's exactly what we wanted - a reasonably firm, deep sprung mattress with a really comfortable "soft" top cushioned layer. Either of us can turn over without disturbing the other (previous mattress used to bounce). Only point would be that the mattress is generally shown as being of "medium" firmness in the product description wherever it is purchased from. We had seen it described in many reviews across various retailers as "firmer" in reality which I think was a disappointment to some people but was actually what we were looking for. Fab - five stars!

We are absolutely delighted with our new sealy mattress.I suffer with severe arthritis and had found great difficulty during the last six months in achieving a decent night's sleep.The first night using our sealy mattress was a revelation! my back was wonderfully supported but also gently. It no longer felt that I was lying on something resembling concrete.I woke the next morning, my back pain- free and even the stiffness in my knees much reduced. It has been the same result every morning since. Wonderful!.

I researched on - line for the product I wanted - having made my decision by reading which and knowing what I liked. Their range is really impressive - so it helps to have a clear idea of what you want - it's bizarre how different a mattress experience can be from one product to the next. This mattress is amazing - total comfort - both soft and firm - and really good on the overall alignment for the body - I wake each morning feeling as if my body has had a chance to sort itself out.

After trying loads of mattress's at john lewis and fenwick's and preferring the pocket sprung mattress's with a pillowtop. Decided on the sealy nostromo posturepedic pocket 1400 latex mattress after reading loads of reviews. Can't fault it, very comfortable for us, might be a tad firm for some, certainly more firm than medium in my opinion. Don't worry about the smell, barely noticeable, gone within a few days. Quality is fantastic.

I bought this bed after seeing lots of positive reviews. Its good quality and comfortable. However I deducted a star because like some other reviewers I think this bed is more firm than the medium it is shown as. I'm still glad I bought it though.

The mattress has a very strong new smell when it arrives and this takes quite a long time to go. We left it airing in another room for a few weeks. Apart from that, it is one of the most comfortable mattresses that we have slept on.

Really comfortable mattress, such an improvement on my old one. I cant fault it for design, just needed a lot of airing for several days before the chemically new mattress smell disappeared.

The product is absolutely fantastic I could not recommend it more highly. The was an initial smell which faded after a week. The performance of the mattress negated this minor issue.

Well made, the finish and quality did not disappoint. After a lot of research I ordered a medium but I would say it is a little firmer than I expected, still very comfortable though.

Aired the new mattress for a few days, as it smelled slightly, then enjoyed a good nights sleep with less back pain. It feels quite firm, which is good for me.

Its still early days but I love this mattress...Its very endearing. Pillow top still needs some getting used to as my old one was a conventional orthopaedic.

Mattress is very comfortable, but much deeper than our previous mattress, id advise checking the depth of mattress before buying!

We have had sealy mattresses before and this one did not disappoint, very well made and comfortable, very pleased - recommended.

Didnt notice chemical smell to mattress that others have said& slept well first night. Only had it one day so far
