Why Our Sleep Experts Loved It

becky says

The Olson Wooden Bed Frame from Dreams is one of the more popular bed frames among customers. Many reviewers praised the bed's elegant and simple design, as well as its comfortable support. The bed is crafted from ash and plywood in a sturdy design with raised feet, and has an oak-coloured finish that looks solid and sturdy, suiting many modern room designs. The headboard is accented by spindle finials which adds a touch of elegance to the bed and make it look more expensive than it actually is. Some customers found the assembly process to be easy and straightforward, while others had some issues with missing drill holes, crooked screw housing, and uneven legs which is not too ideal given the good quality materials used in the core of the product. Ultimately, the majority of the customers were satisfied with the product and found it to be a good value for the price.

The bed is also a good option for a guest room, as the design is pleasing and it has a Scandinavian appearance that suits a less cluttered space. With the raised feet, it also allows for space beneath for use of vacuum cleaner when necessary or for a whole bunch of additional storage.

What Makes The Olson Wooden Bed Frame Great?

It's crafted from ash and plywood in a sturdy design with raised feet

This bed frame features four angled and raised feet that provide increased stability for the entire frame and elevate it off the ground and provide a good foundation for the rest of the frame.

It has an oak-coloured finish

The headboard is accented by spindle finials

The headboard of the bed is an important feature, and can be accented by spindle finials for a classic, timeless look. Spindle finials are a type of decorative hardware that is usually used to top off bedposts, chair backs, and other furniture pieces. The finials add a unique and stylish touch to any bedroom, and can be used as a way to tie together the look of the room

Comes with solid slats as standard for good airflow or can be upgraded to sprung slats for better shock absorption

Solid slats are a great way to utilise the support on offer within the bed frame. Not only do solid slats promote good airflow but they also provide a slightly firmer sleeping surface than sprung slats. The result of this means your back and neck get a bit more support when you sleep.

Rest easy with a 1-year guarantee

A one year guarantee is suitable for many as the vast majority of problems that may occur often do so within that first year. At the same time, more and more retailers are beginning to offer multi-year warranty and guarantees although these often come at a slightly higher price point on average.

Customer Reviews For The Olson Wooden Bed Frame

Based on 19 reviews
Recommended, but with caveats

It is a nice bed frame. Assembly instructions were clear. Unfortunately the quality control was slightly lacking. There were three missing drill holes in the slats, the screw housing for the middle leg's plastic foot was crooked, and the wooden part of the middle leg was too tall. We were able to correct this by drilling our own holes, and by removing the plastic foot on the middle leg. I would recommend this bed to others as long as you are comfortable making minor modifications to overcome quality control issues.

Having viewed this bed in the shop we then ordered online - which was very straightforward. Having had the wrong bed slats delivered, along with a damaged side panel - Dreams staff have been excellent in addressing these problems, including then constructing the bed for us, which we hadn't paid for. Will certainly use Dreams again.

Lovely simple design

The Olson is a gorgeous wooden bed with a simple but elegant design sure to go with any bedroom decor. The spindles create a statement headboard without taking over the whole room, and the sprung slats provide great comfort.

It is a pleasing design, very Scandinavian appearance. Easy space beneath for use of Vacuum Cleaner. Also bed assemblers were very courteous and efficient and wore Special overshoes for minimum disturbance. Very pleased.

Lightweight and stylish

Very attractive looking bed for our guest room. I love the low rise end to the bed and the spindle head board. Not the heaviest bed and not made of solid wood. A good price for a nice guest bed.
