It was a bit firm at first but it’s softened up. It is easy to set to recline but haven’t used the bed yet. We’ve set the back rests to lean against the wall behind though in between recline positions as found the first too upright and the second too far back. Good value for money and is great as a sofa/bed in our playroom
Absolutely lovely furniture, came wrapped up and they delivered inside my door so I didn’t have to drag in through the house live how soft it is and the colour and style it was even better when I had it than the pictures really impressed
