What Makes The Airsprung Beds Sleepwalk Memory Sprung Gold Open Coil Rolled Mattress Great

Absolutely love this mattress, it’s firm enough to support your body but nice and soft too so easy to move around on, normally takes me a while to adjust but first night I slept like a baby and have done still for the past week

Firmness: Medium

Medium tension mattresses are suitable, generally, for most people. Unless your BMI is substantially lower or higher than average you will not typically find a medium firmness mattress uncomfortable, Generally speaking though, if you do suffer from backpain and your BMI is average or higher, consider a firmer mattress. If you do not have backpain have have a lower BMI, consider a softer mattress.

Top Features: Hypoallergenic, Roll-up

A Hypoallergenic mattress is ideally suited to those that have some form of allergies and are concerned about their sleep environment. The biggest consideration toward a hypoallergenic mattress is that is reduces the likelihood of experiencing allergies in your sleep.  This mattress is also a roll-up mattress, meaning it is great for those looking to navigate stairs or trying to manoeuvre themselves. Delivery costs may also be less as a result of the smaller package due to how roll-ups are delivered

Top Comfort Layer: Memory Foam

Memory foam is one of the more comfortable top layers in a mattress. Memory foam will give a sinking feeling of supreme comfort that moulds to your body giving a feeling of support and contouring

Hypo-allergenic: Yes

A Hypo-allergenic mattress is created using materials that have a low expectation of producing allergic reactions. Due to the wide scale of allergies that people can have, there is no guarantee of not experiencing a reaction, however, this product represents one of the best chances you'll get to not have reactions.

Mattress Overall : 135cm W x 190cm L

This is just the bed size, measurements do have slight allowable tolerances however, so do not be surprised if you find your mattress a few CM out from the official guide above

Firmness : Medium: Suits all sleep positions

A medium mattress is a great choice because it typically suits everyone to some degree. While back pain might push you toward a firmer product and a lower BMI might push you toward softer, on average, a medium mattress is both supportive and comfy enough for most people

Country of Manufacture : United Kingdom

Rest assured this product is not a cheap import, designed, produced and manufactured to the suppliers specifications, this product is entirely UK manufactured

Top Layer : Memory Foam

Memory foam is the most common comfort layer requested by customers within the industry. Made for NASA it has historic upbringing and is now used to offer impressive comfort in mattresses. Pros are that you will feel like you are sleeping on a cloud, cons are that it may get a little hot and sweaty and reduce movement in the summer. A modest amount of memory foam can oftentimes be more suitable than a thick slab for those looking to find the optimal amount of comfort through all seasons.

Mattress Turn : No Turn

A no turn mattress means that it does not need to be flipped, however, that does not mean that it should not be rotated. Always rotate your mattress seasonally to ensure the highest lifespan of the product

Hypo-allergenic : Yes

These mattresses are specifically designed for those that are prone to allergies, a hypoallergenic mattress will not necesserily guarantee you an allergy free experience, but it has the best chance of reducing the odds of complications or irritation for those commonly effected

Pressure Relieving : Yes

This mattress is specially formulated to relieve pressure on your joints and back due to the unique product design.

BS 5852 Certified : No

This British Testing Standard supersedes BS 5852:1990 and is a testing method dubbed Source 5 for determining the ignitability of covers for upholster. Rest assured though, this certification is typically associated with products for use in hotels and other areas whereby liability needs to be reduced further than the standard acceptable flammability standards. This is not something that an average consumer would need to worry about for their home

BS 7177:2008+A1:2011 Certified : Yes

This is the nationally recognised certification given to all products produced or imported to state that the product passes mandatory fire tests necessary for a product to be sold.

Core Construction : Pocket Sprung

Many of the best matresses produced are those that invovle pocket springs, far better than open coil and arguably more supportive than reflex foam options, these are highly regarded as the best spring systems in class for mattresses

Roll-up : Yes

Roll up mattresses are becoming increasingly common. They fit in the back of a car or are easily delivered making them ideal for those in need. One consideration is that these mattresses typically rely on reflex foam or micro-springs in their construction due to the roll-up nature meaning you are unlikely to find supportive pocket springs in these models. Not a big problem, but a sacrifice worthy of mention with these mattress-in-a-box products

Low Motion Transfer : Yes

Your movement does not impact your partner who is fast asleep next to you. Ideal for those that turn a lot in their sleep, or like to...

Mattress Top Type : Quilted

Quilted mattresses often feature a layer of super soft foam and fibre stitched together to provide maximum comfort while not detracting from the support of other mattress constructions and fillings. Many mattresses are quilted across the range.

Top Features : Hypoallergenic, Roll-up

If you suffer allergies you may want to consider a mattress like the above that has been specifically built to prevent and reduce allergic reactions. That is not to say there are no allergies with this product, everyone is different after all, rather, the meterials it is manufactured from are rated as unlikely to cause allergic reactions

Manufacturer Warranty : 5 Years

Normal warranty within the UK is at 1 year so a 5 year warranty like the above is a big surprise and a sign of confidence that the retailer has in this product.

Mattress Construction : Core Construction: Pocket Sprung, Top Layer: Memory Foam

Combining the support of high quality pocket springs with the comfort of memory foam. People largely beleive that this makes for the perfect combination when picking a mattress. Expect to pay a slight premium, but your body will thank you.

Mattress Thickness : 19cm

The industry standard for mattress depth is 7 inches, with most offering a comfortable 10 to 14 inches. Generally, the higher the load, the deeper it needs to be. But quality is important as a well-built 10-inch mattress can be equally as comfortable and supportive as a budget 12-inch mattress. This 7.5 inch mattress sits at the most popular section of the scale, generally the safe choice to cover a wide range of sleepers.

Cover Material Composition : Fabric

All mattresses have covers, these aim to serve 2 purposes, firstly, they can offer additional comfort in addition to the fillings for the person laying on them. Secondly, they help protect the mattress from the person sleeping. Different mattresses will use different fabrics as a protective layer.

Filling Material Composition : Visco memory foam, Polyester

Weight Capacity : 16.4 Kilogram

Core Construction: Pocket Sprung

Pocket Springs in mattresses are one of the better constructions. Each spring is housed in it's own pocket within the mattress and helps ensure that all springs stay where they are supposed to and do not drift with time. The main benefit of pocket springs, particular where you have more than 1000 or more springs, is that each spring works independently, contouring to your body and offering unique support across each different pressure point. We strongly recommend pocket spring mattresses where your budget allows over inferior open coil units.

Mattress Construction: Core Construction: Pocket Sprung; Top Layer: Memory Foam

The core construction contains individual housed pocket springs. Each spring holds a consistent tension where pressure is applied, reacting independently to provide an even level of firmness across the mattress surface. The personalised support prevents the transfer of movement and "roll-together", relieves pressure point build-up and offer corrective support.   The top layer is temperature-sensitive Memory Foam, in lower temperatures, it’s firmer and in higher temperatures, it’s softer helping to regulate body temperature. Memory Foam moulds to every curve of the body easing pressure points and absorbing excess movement. It is suitable for all sleeping positions and is hypoallergenic, so will help to relieve the symptoms of allergies and asthma.
