Tests & Verdict

Looks and feels great, don't be put off by the particle board in the design, you cannot tell and it is strong enough to support children without issue.

Under-bed drawer is a nice upsell that is well worth it so the extra storage space for toys to be hidden away.

Positive customer reviews.

80kg limit so unfortunately you won't be able to cuddle your child in bed reading them a bed time story.

I recently visited a local Dreams store and had the opportunity to see the new Erin Bunk Bed from Dreams and I must say, I am extremely impressed. Not only is this bed frame versatile and space-saving with its double shelf storage, it is also made from durable particle board and comes with a strong, fixed ladder and safety guards, making it suitable for children aged 6 and up with a weight limit of 80kg (including the weight of the mattress).

One of the standout features of this bunk bed is the option to purchase an under-bed storage drawer for even more space-saving capabilities. The shelves also serve as a great alternative to a bedside table, providing a convenient place for children to store books, toys, and other personal items.

In terms of assembly, it appears that many customers have opted to pay extra for professional assembly and have been happy with the service they received. The bed itself has received rave reviews from customers, with many praising its quality, value, and design.

In addition to its functional design, the Erin Bunk Bed also boasts a sleek and classic white finish that will complement any bedroom decor. It comes with a 1-year guarantee, so customers can rest easy knowing that they are investing in a high-quality product.

I personally found the double shelf storage to be a particularly useful feature of this bunk bed. As a parent, it can be challenging to find enough space for all of your children's belongings, so having the extra storage options provided by the shelves and under-bed drawer is a major plus. The fact that these storage solutions are within easy reach for children also makes it easier for them to keep their personal items organised and within reach.

In terms of stability and safety, the strong fixed ladder and safety guards of the Erin Bunk Bed give me peace of mind as a parent. I have complete confidence that my children will be able to climb up and down the ladder safely and that the bed will be able to support their weight without any issues.

Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the Erin Bunk Bed from Dreams. It is a well-made, stylish, and practical sleeping solution that is perfect for families with children. The double shelf storage, under-bed storage drawer, and safety features all make it an excellent choice for parents looking to maximise their space and provide a comfortable and safe sleeping environment for their children. I would definitely recommend this bunk bed to other families looking for a high-quality and reliable product.

Let's start with the sales experience. Sales person in store said Erin Bunk bed with drawer will be delivered and assembled on the day you choose. So purchased it online but received email saying it WILL NOT be assembled due to COVID policy. I needed the bunk bed as the youngest one outgrew her toddler bed so proceeded........ Assembly experience. -The Erin bunk bed is delivered into 6 packages, the parts are not labelled which took time to work out how to assemble it. -Some parts are very heavy, need at least 2 people to lift up the stairs and assemble. -There are quality control issues as some of the screw holes are not aligned, wasted time drilling new holes. -The drawer is not worth getting, the build quality is poor and again quality control issues. -However 8 hours+ of assembling the bunk bed, it is rock solid and the kids like the design. Erin bunk bed is solid and well designed however I wouldn't recommend it if Dreams doesn't assemble it. Also the drawer is not good value.

With our second child on the way, we decided to get bunk beds, and we and our daughter loved the Erin bed we saw in the store. We were a little concerned that our daughter (just turned 4) might struggle getting up the ladder to the top bunk, but she would be fine on the bottom for a while anyway, but she manages it perfectly. The steps are deep enough for her to get a firm footing, and the guard on the top bunk is high enough to ensure that she wont fall out, even though the manufacturer suggests that a child should be 6 before going on the top bunk. Assembly was straight forward (although as with all things like this, you should allow 2 people 8 hours to get it done). The only slight quibble is that the holes on the base for the bottom mattress didnt quite line up perfectly with the holes on the brackets to secure it in place, but some of them lined up and the unit is secure enough to ensure the mattress is going nowhere. Very happy with it, and our daughter is too.

Bought this for my 3 and 6 year olds about 4 weeks ago. It is in a bedroom about 2.5m square and fits in very well with room for two medium sized wardrobes. We love the shelves at the back as there is somewhere to put a nightlight/books and special toys without cluttering up the bed. The bed sizes are great, I have slept in the bottom bunk myself a couple of times and whilst the headroom is a bit too tight for an adult to use on a regular basis it is very comfy and enough space for the odd night! The only downside for me is that there are no hand holds on the ladder but my 6 year old seems to manage fine - and on the flipside it stops the 3 year old climbing up as she can't grip it very well! All in all very pleased with this bed, it felt like a lot of money to spend on a child's bed but it is so sturdy it is definitely worth it and hopefully will be sellable once my two have finished with it.

Great sturdy bunk. Due to covid i almost didnt get the assembly service which was provided with this bed free of charge. I opted not to have my bed delivered unless they were ready to assemble it and it worked in my favour so happy days. I will say the colour of the wood effect panels on the drawer and shelves is completely different in real life. In reality it is a grey wash and not the brown seen on the images. But that being said the colour isnt unpleasant. I will also like to mention that the bottom bunk lacks a headboard which can be problematic for some. I found it made it difficult to contain my daughters pillow in the bed when she would be sleeping. Another issue i have found is the drawer is difficult to pull out on carpeted flooring and can be a bit of a struggle. All in all i am pleased with the bunk. It is sturdy and strong and fit for purpose. Would recommend.

I bought an ex-demo from the Dreams store in York. The staff were extremely helpful and courteous, even though they could not help us in actually taking down the display model to take away. The bed was fairly easy to dismantle and sturdy enough to handle the dismantling and transport home and rebuilding. Our two boys, 6 and 3, love it and almost immediately started to load the shelves at the back with their teddies and toys, so much so that we had to clear some before putting them to bed the night it was built. The ladder is more like steps and easy enough for our 3 year old to climb without fear of falling, not like some where it is a ladder with rungs. The under bed drawer is going to be very useful for bedding for both beds.

I had this bed delivered nearly a month ago. My girls love the storage shelves to store their teddies, books, clock and bottle of water. The bed is bigger than I imagined, but still gives plenty more room than 2 single beds. I was disappointed to find the bases to hold the mattresses were solid wood. I had asked on Dreams website if the base were slated or solid, to be told they were slated. The steps up to the top bunk are easy to climb being a proper step. I have added some glow in the dark non slip tape to help stop my childrens feet from slipping. Overall I am happy with my purchase and would recommend this bunkbed.

We finally put this together, for our son, 3 weeks ago. He loves his new bed although "it's a bit long, Mummy" has been stated a few times - well, it would be coming from a cot bed! He has had some great night sleeps and the bookshelves are a winner; we have had to remove the tempting books to the top bunk but, the space for his lamp and precious items is loved - he feels like Peter Rabbit. It took 2 of us over 3 hours to put together but, we were building late at night so checked everything! It looks lovely and is sturdy - although it is BIG. Happy child and happy parents.

We bought this bunk bed as our 3 1/2 year old twins wanted their room made into a "big boy room". They were previously in cot beds but said they wanted to sleep in a bunk bed after trying one in a hotel we stayed in. We looked at lots and this one stood out and the boys told us we had to buy it. Bonus feature was the assembly came as standard, so we didn't need to worry about having to do that. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to get a bunk bed. The boys love the shelves on each level where they keep their water cups and teddys.

Loved the storage idea that came with this bunk bed. Really helps with the girls sleeping knowing they have everything they need at their fingertips. The guy in store was great. He made us make an informed decision on whether this was the best bed for us. We took model that was on display in store. I had to come and take it apart myself with help. The people in store were great. Checking in on us and offering to help. We couldn't ask for better advice or help in acquiring this item. Thank you again.

These are fantastic bunk beds. The girls (aged 5 and almost 4) absolutely love them and have been sleeping soundly in them. They love the shelves as it means they can have cuddly toys and books close by and it means I dont have to constantly tidy toys from the end of the bed. The supplier was great arranging delivery with fantastic communication. We paid the extra for the assembly and I think it might be the best 50 Ive ever spent as theres no way we could have assembled them that fast.

My twins love their new Erin Bunk bed. The little compartment shelves are perfect for all of their books and small toys, and a night light. Construction is stated as two and a half hours, however it took us about 6 hours after laying all of the parts out. The drawer is very handy for storage of other bedding or even toys. One criticism is with the lower bunk. There is not a raised board where the pillow goes like there is with the top bunk so during the night the pillow falls on the floor.

will a normal mattress fit this?

Answer: This bunk bed requires 2 EU single mattresses which differ slightly in size from a normal UK single. An EU single mattress measures 90cm wide and 200cm long. Whereas a standard UK single measures 90cm wide and 190cm long. Please also note that the top bunk mattress should be 15cm deep or less.

Do standard single mattresses fit this please, 3ft ?

Answer: The ideal mattress to be used with this bunk is a Euro Single mattress, which measures 90cm (W) x 200cm (L). Standard Single mattresses measure 90cm (W) x 190cm (L) - as a result, a standard single mattress can be used with this frame, however there will be a 10cm gap on the sleeping area.

Hi, Does mattress come with this bed

Answer: This bed does not come with a mattress and therefore the price displayed online indicates the price of the bed frame only. We have a range of mattresses available to purchase online or in store that would be suitable to use with this bed frame.

Can Erin bunk beds be delivered in more than one huge package? Customer services say' Yes', Sales say 'No'. Measurements on website mean these bunk beds could not be delivered to any house with standard doorways.

Answer: We are in the process of checking these delivery dimensions with the relevant team. However, we would advise reaching out with the customer service team as they will be best placed to reassure you on this one for now. .

Hi. Once assembled how easy is it to disassemble and transport?

Answer: This is assembled by the external delivery company and is therefore difficult for us to know exactly how easy it would be to disassemble. It should be the same level of difficulty of any flat packed furniture.Thank you for your question.
