Westcote Blue Large Double Larder

We're big fans of larder cupboards and this one is well made and looks lovely. The drawers are solid and work well even when loaded with blocks of fondant and bags of flour. There are just two tiny negatives I can give, the doors aren't perfectly aligned, which is a little irritating, but not far enough out that people comment on it when they see it. The other is that the lovely high door shelves are no use for the *full* tall bottles, which overbalance when you swing open the doors. If your bottles only half full then happy days but making the dowels a little higher would have definitely improved the design, or made three shallower shelves instead of the two tall ones, so more jars could be stored in the same space. That said I'd definitely recommend as a cost-effective spacious larder cupboard!

This is a lovely piece of free standing furniture, which finishes off my kitchen perfectly. I would recommend it to anyone who has need of a storage facility without losing too much room. I do think, however, it is worth noting that as it requires special delivery, the delivery people do not put the handles on the doors or the shelves in. I was unable to do this for myself, as I am a wheelchair user, the shelves are quite weighty substantial pieces of wood. Luckily my husband was able to assemble the "innards" for me. I have bought other pieces for the kitchen from Cotswold Co., and each time the delivery men have assembled the furniture for me, so I was a little surprised that it didn't happen with this..

Great layout, god weight to the wood, beautiful and slightly unusual colour, shelf heights and space works very well but are very dark if you don't have a direct light overhead (even the website's product shot shows it's quite dark in there!). Sadly the 2 main doors don't quite align, slight drop on one. The drawers are huge spaces but, once loaded, the larger drawer doesn't have the smoothest of sliding actions but is fine if pulled equally using both handles. Despite these faults it's still a very good product, happy to have bought it and would definitely buy from CC again. + I added PIR striplights (16 each, Amazon) underneath the 3 shelves, everything is easily visible and looks stunningly good;)

After a considerable wait for this to come back into stock our unit was delivered by a courier service which contacted us at each stage to arrange delivery dates and times. I love this unit, once it is full it feels very sturdy although when empty it feels less so. The pictures are very true to life and show it off well. The only slight problem is one door is about 5mm lower than the other so the handles aren't quite level, although this is a minor thing it's frustrating on such a large piece of furniture. All said and done I would thoroughly recommend this item.

I'm disappointed because the doors don't line up. There is a larger gap at the top of the right-hand door. Likewise a larger gap at the bottom of the left door. This results in the knobs not lining up. I had read reviews before I bought the cupboard saying that the doors weren't level. I thought - surely they are not all the same! Your advice was to adjust the bottom of the cupboard, but it is a bigger problem than that. I'm thinking I will have to get a joiner to adjust the hinges. I have not given it five stars. The first unit arrived with a defect, the doors did not close properly. An offer of a reduction in a small cost, a replacement or a full refund was given by the team. Our assumption is that this is the norm, which was slightly worrying.That aside, after waiting another week for a replacement we eventually got a larder we could use.End to end the order must have taken at least 8weeks however the quality control could be better - don't organise your kitchen refurbishment around the larder arriving in perfect condition.

We planned out kitchen remodeling around this larder and waited 14 weeks for it. We are over the moon with it. It is a solid substantial larder. The delivery team were excellent with un packing and putting shelves and door knobs on and taking away all packaging. The only thing we would comment on is the door knobs. They seem small considering the size and are a little rough around the edges, saying that they do the job. Might look around for replacement ones to enhance the larder further!

I loved this larder as soon as I saw it on the website , I saw a discount voucher inside a magazine which tipped the balance and made me order straight away , ordering online was simple and delivery was within a week , great lads who delivered it , on time and polite , the larder was well wrapped and packaged only drawback no handles after a quick phone call and apology arrived the next working day , would definitely recommend!

A couple of months have passed since we received the larder unit, we are basically happy with the purchase apart from the fact there is an issue with the doors, uploaded photos and even a visit from the service technician, we are still waiting for feedback from the company on the repair. In the meantime the larder remains empty, hopefully we will be able to use it in the near future.

Absolutely delighted with the double larder unit, which was shipped out to our house in France, together with the narrow larder and the island unit. The build quality and the attention to detail with the wood interior is exceptional, l couldnt believe how my extensive collection of crockery and jugs were swallowed up and are all accessible. Fantastic value for money.

I am in love with this furniture! Exactly as it looks in the picture. The only thing I have to complain is that the magnet that holds the doors are not staying in place. Tried everything already and it does not stay (magnet is quite strong and when you try opening the door, it just comes off the place). I will raise a complain and see if they come to fix it

I am so thrilled with my Westcote Blue double larder. It fits beautifully in my new kitchen. What has really impressed me is the quality of the finish. Never having bought a piece of furniture without seeing it before I was a bit apprehensive. But Cotswold have produced a stunning product and my friends who have seen it agree.

Large, imposing, impressive! Creates a bold look in any kitchen with plenty of storage for food items, bottles, utensils, trays & pots and more. The shelves are adjustable and has an inbuilt drawer. Quality wood, beautiful finish and looks great in the dark Blue. We've coupled this with a matching Extra Large Sideboard.

The larder is gorgeous and finishes my new kitchen. It is solid and very well built and I have added baskets to separate items making it easier to find. My only quibble is the free delivery. This is only available after two weeks despite the product being in stock and earlier delivery slots available.

Absolutely fantastic, attractive and practical storage cabinet.The cabinet is very well built providing great storage capacity all of which can be easily seen when the double doors are opened.It is a super addition to our kitchen.The only addition I would make would be to install an internal light.

This is a fantastic piece of kitchen kit. Its compact in size but packs a storage punch. No more wondering whether you need more tins of chickpeas in the supermarket only to find you have 12 on your return home! Delivered in less than 24 hours by lovely chaps to rural NE Scotland.

Beautiful larder, looks even better in the flesh. Colour is a darker/greyer blue than it looks in the first couple of pictures, it's a very sophisticated colour.Product is very well made and should last for years.Can't fault the customer service either, fantastic service

I absolutely love my new larder cupboards. We got two, one for either side of the fridge and they look lovely. We have had so many comments saying how good they look. They look so much better than built in cupboards. They are really spacious, struggling to fill them!

Love the look of this and the amount of stuff I can get in it. In my open plan kitchen/living room it is invaluable storage for all my food stuffs, baking equipment etc., whilst being quietly understated. Only niggle is the doors catch slightly at the top.

This larder is totally awesome and a focus point for my kitchen,and a gorgeous colour with loads of room and easy access especially with me being 4ft 9. Love it. Need to put a light in it though,apart from that its gorgeous peace of furniture It.

We love our new larder,it is very spacious and also holds spices etc in the doors,unfortunately one of the shelves was damaged on arrival but i decided to keep it because it was damaged on the underside so the damage is hidden.All in all a good purchase.

I love my larder! It looks wonderful in the kitchen of our new home and gives a much needed shot of colour in an all-white scheme. It is truly capacious and easily contains all of my dry and canned goods in a solid well- designed cabinet.

Over the moon with this item! Its a veritable tardis - looking smart and compact but with a huge internal capacity. (And its dark blue too!). I thought I might need a second cupboard eventually but find I wont need it.

Lovely unit, very happy. The first one I was delivered was damaged by the delivery men on way in but no reflection on product! Today was delivered perfectly by way more competent delivery men, very pleased!!
