A 2 stage recliner effectively gives you two different recline settings. that means you are not going to be able to get too granular with angle settings but that is rarely seen as an issue. Ultimately when people are looking for a reclining chair, the very fact that it reclines is seen as largely suitable. For those looking for more granular control, consider an electric recliner.

All sofas come with some variant of cushion, with each having a depicted firmness whether it is soft, medium or hard. The firmness mat soften over time but regardless, you should purchase relative to your own preference as the firmness is build up of composition and density and works in a similar fashion to mattresses. We recommend medium (anywhere from medium soft to medium firm) as the one side fit's all approach as this will allow you to sink into the sofa while still supporting your body.
