Customer Reviews For The Seattle 2 Door Sliding Wardrobe

Based on 5 review

Lovely looking product, but the instructions for assembly are just awful. I expected this, as had seen it mentioned in previous reviews, but really liked the look of it, and it perfectly fit the space I had in mind. What unfolded was exactly as expected - lovely end product, but absolute nightmare to put together. One thing to point out is that the base of the wardrobe is not flush with the floor, so you cannot and should not slide it at all. It's raised up on plinths, which end up crumbling underneath it if you try to move it (especially across carpet due to the friction). The plinths for us actually broke off despite being glued as instructed, because the wardrobe needed to be moved into the space after assembly. You need a lot of space around the wardrobe to actually put it together - especially the roof - you need to be able to hold a screwdriver either side of it (as well as above) to screw it all into place. It's much better to assemble it where it will actually be, and that space should be a big, open space...not the little 'perfectly matched' space I chose for it. Although I'm super happy we managed to make it work somehow. Lovely end result. Another thing to point out is that the inside of the wardrobe was a complete unknown prior to purchase. It's split vertically into two halves, to match with the doors. Each half has one shelf and one hanging rail. It's tall enough to have 2 shelves on each side as well as the rail, so I don't know why this wasn't the case as it would make it much more useable given its immense size. I feel that this slightly lowers its value, but good price either way.

The wardrobe is worth 4 stars; for the money its an OK wardrobe; quality is ok for the money; but the instructions are very difficult; I have undertaken several items from IKEA; although some of theres are hard to follow; The Seattle Wardrobe are in a different league; multi lingual so no wording; but poor diagrams; none of the components are labeled; if you do buy; take great care with assembly

Good value for money although tricky to put together and the back broke at the bottom when trying to slot it in. When it came there were a couple of marks on the front too.

Lovely sturdy wardrobes. Took a while to put together but well worth it! They look stunning in my bedroom.
