Oakland Large Sideboard

Absolutely stunning piece of furniture from Cotswold & Co, certainly exceed expectations. Looking around for an Oak Sideboard, I'd seen an ad for Oak Furniture Land, and can't say I was overly impressed and then I remembered the ad for Cotswold & Co.Their website provided ample choice with a comprehensive range designed to inspire. Ordering was quick and easy as was choosing the delivery date. As with any furniture purchase, proof of quality comes with delivery, a process that was reassuring with timely updates from both Cotswold & their Delivery partners.Prior to the day of delivery, a young lady from Cotswold called, talked me through the process and the time slot saying the delivery crew would call an hour before they arrived, which they did, arriving with the sideboard reassuringly packed.Siting in my room of choice, they expertly unpacked, removing the packing, as per my original order and left.Functional with form, well made and a really beautiful piece. I have no hesitation in recommending Cotswold & Co, and will certainly be back.

This was the 1st time I have ordered furniture on-line without first seeing the item, but as the details given on your web site looked first rate & your terms of delivery & return were excellent I decided to purchase the dinning room items I wanted as had not been able to purchase the corner units especially, closer to my location in Cheshire. I was kept updated on delivery times & your delivery personnel were excellent & could not have been more helpful, as I am disabled they were patient & understanding of were I needed the sideboard & corner units placing. The quality & finish of the furniture exceeded my expectations & I am thoroughly pleased with my purchases & they look beautiful in my dinning room. Although this item was out of stock and delivery was somewhat longer than anticipated, this is a lovely looking piece of furniture, well made, the quality far exceeds the quality of the wood sample we received beforehand and on reflection was probably a totally wrong piece of wood. Surprisingly this sideboard goes very well with our dining suite which is from another manufacturer. It is well made, solid, has sturdy shelves, firm closing doors and the drawer bottoms are good unlike some which are made of exceedingly thin plywood. Being solid, it is heavy to move around and certainly requires 2 people to unpack it - it was certainly very well packaged. Delivery was good. So far so good, let's hope it still lives up to its beauty and durability several years down the line. Conclusion - a very nice piece of furniture.

Excellent quality, rapid delivery. But delivery itself was a mess. Two weeks prior, we had three large bookshelves delivery. packaging was removed outside, with care, and moved inside carefully; and positioned to my request. The latest delivery, (it wasnt raining), was so much different. The whole package was moved inside, and removed in the study, with a little force. The sideboard was put roughly in the correct location. The cardboard was removed, but no attempt to clear the mess from the unpacking on the floor. The shelve supports package tore at one point, and screws fell on the floor. One or two of which were picked up. However, the product itself is excellent, pity about the service this time.

We purchased a set of furniture (Coffee table, TV unit, Sideboard & Shoe Cupboard), all are absolutely perfect. Delivery was completed with efficiency and when expected. We purchased online with confidence even though this was our first purchase with them. Subsequently found out that they are opening a store nearby, but even when buying online (and unable to 'see' in advance) all the information we needed was available. Furniture is the best quality and exactly as expected, and the price was in the right place. All solidly built and will last us for years. Very very pleased with our purchase, and have received a lot of positive comments on how nice it looks

Delivery men walked wet shoes all over hall carpet - despite extra mats being put down - and left stains. Absolute mess left and neither man seemed to know what they were doing.Disappointed to later discover this furniture is available from retailers all over the country at varying prices, including garden centres .......Tried hard to find British made furniture as I try to avoid buying anything made in China, but guess what .. The name Cotswold leads you to believe this is quality British made. It's not. Pleased with product now but will it last?

Lovely piece of really good quality furniture. I bought it to go with the Oakland table and chairs we have in our kitchen and it looks absolutely fab. Brilliant that you can choose your own shelf position and the shelves themselves are really good quality solid oak (unlike in some other furniture I have bough elsewhere). Truly stunning. Highly recommended. Also a big bonus that you have an option to have the unit unpacked and the packaging taken away. I don't plan to go anywhere else for future oak furniture pieces in the future.

I would not normally buy a piece of furniture on line, however the sideboard looked so nice and was exactly what we were looking for so we decided to buy it, I could not say how happy we were when it arrived, We were firstly given a priority next day delivery which was great but when it arrived it was better in the flesh. It is very well made and oozes of luxury at a very affordable price. Since taking delivery of this we have since made 3 further purchases from the same Oakland range, First class!!John Kerr

This is a lovely piece of furniture, we are so pleased with it. It holds a fantastic amount of crockery and other items, and the adjustable shelves are a godsend. My only niggles were the left door fitted a bit too snuggly and the drop handle came off in my hand (and went back on just as easily), and the item did not sit level on the floor, but this was resolved immediately by the company by way of a pack of floor protector pads. Excellent service and and excellent item of furniture!

Spent a considerable amount of time trying to find a sideboard that would match in with existing furniture, not easy to do with limited shops nearby and trying to determine the exact colour online then I came across the product sample option with yourselves, genius idea, arrived promptly, perfect match. The process of ordering the sideboard to the delivery all went smoothly, regular updates as to timings of delivery. I am extremely impressed with the product & the service. Love it.

The sideboard is solid wood very well made and very pleased with it .The finish is excellent and very pleasing to look at.The communication was excellent .I would recommend paying the extra to have the full delivery service .I had the standard and it was just dumped in the hall fortunately this was where I wanted it.The packaging was excellent and not easy to remove or dispose of .The sideboard was very well protected .Other than that the product is excellent and very pleased.

We are delighted with our sideboard, it looks great. One of the handles did initially come off when someone tried to pull the door open, which was very tight, but the handle clicked right back into place and some furniture wax loosened up the doors so they open more easily now, no further problems with the handle.love, love, love this piece of furniture. Our 27 year old daughter says it looks `very grown up`... about time we did I suppose!

I purchased the dresser, sideboard, extendable dining table and four rollback chairs. Really pleased with all of them, they were a luxury for me and I have no regrets treating myself. An appealing and attractive peace of furniture bought to go along side the TV unit, both from Oakland Furniture. We made a great choice in buying from The Cotswold Company as each piece of furniture we bought was of the top quality. They will be our first choice when we need new furniture. Pleased with my purchase which looks good and is true to the wood sample I previously requested. However, one of the drawer handles is slightly scuwiff but this isn't a problem as it adds to its rustic charm.Delivery was very good but did arrive over an hour before specified and I didn't receive a call from the driver beforehand so it was lucky I was actually in.Overall the service was helpful and professional.

This was a piece of furniture that we selected for our bedroom although it is traditionally a living room item. It is very solidly constructed with a very good quality of finish. We use the drawers and cupboard space for clothes and our second TV set sits on the top. The drawers are very well made and overall it fits in very well with other oak furniture in our bedroom.

This sideboard is beautiful. Unfortunately the top door hinge of the third cupboard door had been bent and a screw was missing from both the top and bottom of the hinges. This means that when the door is open it sags. However, customer services were very prompt at sending out a replacement hinge and screws I still love the item and the overall finish.

Good choice of products and good quality. Good communication with customer services and delivery company. I live over 60 miles from nearest Cotsworld furniture store, however, this didn't stop me from visiting the flagship store. Wide choice on display and staff were very helpful. Once i was home i ordered a number of items to fill up our new house.

I held off buying a sideboard for a while as I couldn't decide which one to choose until I found this one. I'm really pleased with it, it looks stunning in my living room. It's sturdy and the workmanship is second to none. All my family and friends have asked where it came from, and commented on how lovely my room looks now. Highly recommend.

I am so pleased with the Oakland sideboard. I bought it to go with other oak furniture I have and was worried about the matchbut I needn't have as it fits in beautifully. Fabulous product, top quality workmanship built to a high standard. Delivery was as directed, notification 15 min prior arrival two men placed furniture in position, could not have been more securely padded and packed. I was impressed at the standard of service so much I would not hesitate recommending this company or buying from them again.

I have no complaints about the sideboard it is lovely, but the after sales is terrible. I had to phone 3 times to get the shelf pegs that were missing from my order, so was unable to use until i received them over a week later!!! I have written a letter of complaint but have has no reply some 2 weeks later. I feel very let down.

Ordered sideboard and was delivered 2 days later. Delivery turned up when I was told it was arriving - - all packaging removed. Unit is well built and sturdy. The colour is perhaps a little yellower(pine looking rather than oak) but I am sure this will age. Exactly the storage I was after

We bought this, along with other items from the Oakland range, for our living room. It is a lovely, spacious sideboard, which fits in well with our decor. Ordering was easy and the delivery, which we were kept up to date with, right up the the drivers arriving at our door, was first rate.

Again another perfect buy, looks fabulous in my hall, the drawers are just right for those things you want handy when going out (keys,gloves, wooley hat etc.) . And as for those cavernous cupboards - they are like a tardis, so much room to store all those little extras. Fantastic.

A beautiful sideboard which arrived minus one drawer handle. Cotswold send one in the post immediately. The quality is not fantasitc e.g. the wood has splintered slightly around the handles within the cupboard doors. But, from the outside it looks great and is good value for money.

Lovely sideboard which is just the right size for our dining room. The warm oak wood blends very well with the rest of our mixed oak and very old pine furniture. Good storage space and ability to adjust shelves inside cupboard is added bonus. Very pleased with our purchase.

Lovely bit of kit, solidly put together and as you'd expect it matches brilliantly with other pieces from the same range, a sideboard we picked up elsewhere also blends in nicely too.Beware of the packing, theres loads of it, enough cardboard to make the kids a shed!

The build quality is good on the wood side of things, but found the handles to be quite weak as they have popped off a few times in the week we have owned it the 1st 2 times on the 1st day. Very please we got given the chance for the express delivery upgrade.

Very happy with the unit it's great quality, sizing is correct and I feel it is good value for money. I also ordered at the same time the small sideboard and side table. Was pleased with all the products so have now gone on to order the display case too.

love , love , love this ... even though it is longer than my previous sideboard it make my room look bigger and stores my dinner service perfectly. I even managed to get a wooden cutlery tray in the drawer , looks wonderful, very impressed.

Love the sideboard and great quality but one niggly issue is that one of the door handles doesn't sit straight. I know it's not a major problem but once you've seen if you can't unsee it so slightly annoying.

Product does as it say on the tin. It fits in the spot we picked, it looks fantastic and is being used to display family photo's and store DVD, Blu-ray. Lots more space and now to find things to store.

Really lovely sideboard and a great price.The only thing I would say is that the door catch on one of the doors wasn't lined up so it didn't close properly but we managed to fix it pretty easily.

This is a really well built piece of furniture . It fits in our cottage and looks in keeping with tradion but with a modern twist it fits in so well that we've ordered the 2 door one as well !!!

the service and delivery were second to non, on time and very helpful. the side board is solid and well made, and better than more expensive similar types would recommend if this model suits.

Overall appearance good. Drawers a bit sloppy when used,tolerances should be tightened to give closer running fit.Shelves are laminated board, larger of the two already starting to peel away

Not what I expected both in terms of colour and quality of make. It turned out to be made in China and UK to my surprise. Best is to physically see and then buy such products.

Excellent quality. The small features such as drawer pull stops and scalloping of the edges add to its charm. Like the ability to adjust the shelf heights in the cupboards.
