Flaxby Divan Base

It exceeded our expecatations. It was the most expensive base in the shop so we did have to think twice about it but it really was worth the extra. We bought 3 in the end. 2 in grey and one in stone. We liked the fabric so much that we are trying to source it to reupholster our bedroom fabric to match. The under bed drawers are much stronger than average, got lots in there without worrying they will break. The only downside was the time in which we had to wait to receive it, it was delayed by a couple of months, but was worth the wait.

I recently purchased a bed from dreams. I was greeted straight away with a very helpful member of staff who looked after me in a very professional manner from beginning to end of purchase. The dreams bed simulator was excellent at picking out your firmness of mattress to be picked. I was not pressurised in any manner to purchase a bed, but was simply assisted in every way to purchase a bed that would suit my needs. The salesman was called Gavin and he worked in the dreams shop in Dundee, I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Had this bed about 3 weeks,heavenly after replacing a bed many years old. No more back ache just the right balance not too firm or too soft, love the naturalness of its construction. always difficult trying in the shop hoping you have made the right choice, feels like a hotel bed at home. glad i bought the sprung base as well, although drawers not as big as my previous base had. husband only just tried it as has been in hospital but did not stir all night.

I waited 3 months for my lovely new bed. Which is gorgeous. But please do not pay for draws. I paid extra for 4 draws, of which one doesn’t shut properly. After trying to sort the problem a new piece was ordered. I’m still waiting. I paid for the bed in March, it’s now September. If you want this bed do not order the draws. Worst purchase I’ve made and will not be going to dreams for beds in other rooms.

We ordered our bed shortly before we were due to move into a new house. Both the construction of the house and the manufacture of the bed were delayed because of the Coronavirus lockdown. Frequent updates from Dreams and the ease of changing delivery dates online meant that we were able to arrange things so that the delivery was made exactly when it was needed.

Our Flaxby divan base a really high quality product. A solid, well build divan, with a cushioned top to give extra comfort. We chose 1 and half drawers, which provides us with maximum storage, but very easy access to all drawers. We would highly recommend the Flaxby divan base and would definitely be our first choice when we buy our next bed.

This was delivered end January and I was a little concerned that we might have made a mistake ordering the 2+2 drawers and not the 4 drawer model. I needn’t have worried as it provides ample storage and the drawers pull out easily enough. More room round the bedside cabinet too with the smaller drawers up that end. Seems sturdy and robust.

I brought the divan base a month ago to use with a new Flaxby mattress. The sprung base makes so much difference. It’s very supportive and I have no longer had a bad back since purchasing this base. The base is really well made, the fabric is lovely. My only critique is that is it quite low to the ground, otherwise is superb!

The divan base is well made and easy to move on the casters. The drawers are a perfect size as the continental drawer is smaller and does not catch the bedside table, the larger drawer enables us to store bedding or other larger items should we wish to. The colour is a fabulous match for our choice of decor and bedding.

We received this a few weeks ago now and it’s been nothing but perfect. We had been looking around for a spring base and this jumped out, great build quality, very easy to assemble, came right on time very quickly. Love the material and the hidden castors look great. Highly recommend this product.

Haad to get excited about a divan as once everything is fitted it tends not to be easy to see! But what can be seen looks good and being able to obtain half-drawers is very useful. This was bought as a set with a headboard and mattress and we are very pleased to have supported a UK Manufacturer.

I bought this bed base 2 weeks ago and i love it. I was given £350 from Macmillan to buy a bed base, as I was diagnosed with lung cancer in July.Radiotherapy treatment meant I was sleeping more during the day and mt then, bed base was broken. My new one is great!

I bought this about two months ago as our previous divan base was falling apart. It gives much better support for the mattress and by doing this a much better night sleep for me. It is well made. The draws are slightly on the small side which is why 4 stars.

This was easy to assemble. The product is clearly well made and looks great in my master bedroom. I don’t have a large room so having storage was important. The divan drawers are perfect for storing linen and towels. Very happy with the purchase.

This is the first time we’ve ever had to buy a bed for our brand new first house and we couldn’t be happier with it. The delivery was tricky but it fit together very easily and looks really modern in our bedroom, would highly recommend!

Had this for a couple of weeks, all OK. Well packaged with all bolts etc attached. Easy to fit castors and join sections together. Solid when mattress on, dies not move. Drawers are a superior build, solid, no hardboard bases

The quality of our new bed is top notch. We are really happy with it, the Divan base looks superb in our room and it of very good quality. We are also very happy to be supporting a UK manufacturer during these difficult times.

Bought this before lockdown and has only just been delivered as we were self isolating. It is very comfortable, very well made and the drawers are excellent. Drawers are good size, sturdy and easy to take out if we want to

this divan base is very good quality. the drawers open and close very smoothly. it was very easy to put together. the only slight problem were the stickers marking the castor screw holes which were put in the wrong place.

It’s the best bed ever. I was expecting to ‘have to get used to it’ BUT right from the very start I had the most amazing nights sleep & had way less aches & pains in the morning! Absolutely delighted. It is SO luxurious.

I bought this a month ago and I am so happy that I did because the sleep machine recommended a firmer mattress than I intended buying and it really paid off. I no longer wake in the morning with a stiff back.

I bought the divan base a month ago and I am delighted with it. I was looking for a base that I could use the drawers easily with bedside cabinets. The drawers have an easy close feature too.

After using for several weeks, can confirm that this base has excellent build quality, and offers a good foundation whatever mattress is placed on top. Quite expensive, but definitely worth it

Purchased yesterday very comfortable bed .Delivery great guys put divan together and took all the wrapping away .Also got two bottles of mist spay bottles for pillows which is a nice touch :)

We bought this just before Covid19 and as a result had to wait until this month for delivery but the wait was worth it. We have at last found the perfect match that suits both of our needs

We brought this recently along with a new mattress. The lines are simple the draws runs so smoothly. Plenty of storage space which is always a good thing. Very pleased with our purchase.

The two drawer divan base was delivered a few days ago and very pleased with it. Very well constructed and easy to join the two parts together. The castors make the divan glide easily.

A lovely bed, the spring top makes it particularly comfortable and gives the bed/mattress more spring. Lovely colour and the draws are a good size

Love this bed vase can get into with 2 large and 2 small drawers which are all so easy to access, design and colour mean no valance needed

This divan has great storage. The half drawers at the front mean you can open drawers, even with bedside tables on either side of the bed.

This is a good quality bed base. Sturdy construction with a good padded top. The soft closing drawers make it a really great base.

I got this 2 weeks ago I am pleased with it but thought I had ordered 5 ft bed and ended up with double!!!

We have a firm matress and the pocket springs in this base help to soften the bed slightly.
