Burford Painted Petite 2 Over 3 Drawer Chest

I love all of Cotswold furniture. We have several pieces now and have been extremely pleased with all of them. I wanted this petite chest as a towel drawer but it the drawers are a little shallow so we used it for other storage and put the towels in a deeper chest. This one looks so pretty in our spare room though and is ideal for guests. I also have one upstairs next to our bed and it is just the right size for storing my tights, underwear etc. It is well made and looks lovely We have always been very impressed with the delivery, the men who delivered it have been prompt, polite and helpful. Would not hesitate to order from Cotswold again.

We love this item; the colour is a lovely white (I was put off by earlier reviews saying it was cream/ivory but this isn't the case, it is definitely white) and the shape is pleasing. We have followed another reviewer's advice and bought glass tops simply because I feared the children spilling stuff. The drawers are possibly a little more narrow than I'd expected but it fits the horizontal space we had so can't complain but would ask the manufacturer to consider making one that is the same width, but with the height of the standard chest. We bought different coloured door knobs and look lovely.

This item is described as a Narrow chest of drawers, but it is not just narrower that the standard one, but reportedly much lower (20cm), so it is more of a miniature or child-sized item.As the same picture is used on the website for the full-size item and this one, I cannot tell what it looks like.But as I wanted a chest that was narrower than, but just as tall as, the standard one, I cancelled the order before delivery.Accordingly, all I can review is the purchasing process, which, as above, was a little flawed

I was a little disappointed that one of the chests had to be returned as it was damaged. The replacement was 100% perfect. There was no communication from the transport company in either case; the first time the chests arrived at 11am but the replacement chest did not get delivered until 9pm - That meant that someone had to be available to wait in for over 12 hours - this is really not acceptable. The chests themselves are exactly as described and shown on your web site and are good value for the money they cost.

The chest itself is a lovely piece. Sadly several of the knobs were poorly made and meant they don't sit flush with the draw front. I have had some really terrible customer service from cotswold company so didn't take this up with them- past experience has met with derogatory comments from customer service advisors so I avoided this. I have since found local carpenters able to make similar pieces at the same or lower costs, better customer service and also have the advantage of supporting local businesses.

Bought two of these units which look lovely together as a run, and have given me all the storage space I required. Very solidly built and well finished, apart from one tiny area on the bottom front of one of the units. Decided it wasn't visible enough to ask for a replacement, just a bit of extra care checking by Cotswold before dispatching to customer. Having said that, am totally delighted with products overall and received excellent service, so no criticism intended.

1 poor. The customer service I have received has been terrible. 1 of the handles of the chest drawers was faulty and cannot be fixed, couple others are loose can't tighten them. Asked for replacement wrong items sent out. Still waiting correct handles up till today's date. Had many numerous calls to the company . Also spoke with a manager. I would not use this company ever again. Very poor . Build quality not worth the monies paid.

I just love my new cupboard! it fits in perfectly with all my other white bedroom furniture and I am very impressed with the workmanship and delivery. I am glad that I opted for the delivery men to remove all the packaging and also a little extra cost for them to deliver it into the bedroom. Perfect Service and perfect product. I would highly recommend not only the Cotswold Co., but also their ranges of furniture and accessories.

Sturdy, well built chest of drawers that arrived extremely well packed. Just why I needed for a spare bedroom. The drawers are quite shallow so wouldnt hold many thicker items such as jumpers. However, it is a very useful width and height and I am extremely pleased with it. Obviously, I have only received it recently so I cant comment on its robustness aver time but it seems much better quality than the chest it replaced.

Very pleased with these drawers. They were well-packaged and delivery was well-organised. Just the right size for us. The drawers feel very sturdy. The only slight comment is we have had them now for about 3 weeks and they still have quite a chemical new smell to them. I am pregnant so I think am noticing it more than I would otherwise as it doesn't bother my husband but I'm a bit surprised that they still smell!

Lovely little chest of drawers, fits perfectly in the desired space. A previous review commented on the 'new' smell of the drawers, and I laughed as I thought it wasn't worth mentioning - but actually the smell, even after 3 weeks, is very strong. Not totally unpleasant, but strong! That aside, we are very pleased with the purchase and the delivery was on time and the Cotswold Company was efficient and professional.

I was a little concerned to see clouds of paint- dust on the item and in the packaging, there were also areas of bare wood visible in areas not normally on show. I feel that it was spoiling an otherwise very nice piece of furnitureHowever, it was bought for my daughter and she loves it !( I would have a word with the paint department though, just to add an extra layer of professionalism.)With best wishes, Ken Burt..

Even though it arrived slightly damaged, I am very pleased with my new purchase - it is a fine quality piece of furniture. I was even more delighted with the after sales service which was truly outstanding. The problem was handled with minimum fuss and concern to please. The result is one very satisfied customer. I would not hesitate to return or to recommend your company to others.

I had been searching in vain for small white bedroom drawers suitable for my cottage until I found this product on Cotswold website. Although I was worried about buying on line without viewing I'm really pleased with the product. I was kept well informed of the progress of the order and the delivery men were excellent. Very pleased with this chest of drawers which actually holds a lot despite being described as petite. Bought to complement the double wardrobe in the same range, it is a solid piece of furniture and a lovely soft ivory colour which would go with any room design. Arrived on time, carefully packaged and in perfect condition. What more can I say - I love it.

A neat piece of furniture. Very pale ivory colour. Very nice finish. Drawers are not on runners and whilst they do open and close easily enough they don't really sit sqarely in the in the space unless an effort is made to position them. Also the smell, presumably of the paint, is taking a long time to disappear. Overall, though, I am satisfied.

Great product and no complaints about that but if you live somewhere with stairs make sure you get someone to help you as they deliver to ground floor entrance only. I'm 8 months pregnant which was obviously an issue for me. I won't be ordering again from this company because of this reason. Expensive product should be delivered to your door.

This neat little chest of drawers fits my space perfectly (the one of all the companies I tried), has good clean lines and is pretty well built. The drawers open OK, if not quite as smoothly as ideal, and the matching wooden handles are very easy to fit and complete the overall look. It provides a good overflow chest for my bits and bobs.

I ordered two. One was perfect - good quality and is just what I had been looking for. The second had been damaged and repaired. I phoned and by the next available carrier a replacement, checked thoroughly before sending, had been delivered and the faulty one replaced. I am really happy with both the product and the service I received.

We are delighted with our 2 Burford chests, I was a little disappointed when they were first unpacked and we found a small chip out of the base of one chest but that was quickly resolved after speaking to Simon. They look lovely either side of our bed and we wouldn't hesitate to purchase from you again in the future. Many thanks.

Amazing chest of drawers, such good quality for the price and they look beautiful. I had purchased and returned a chest of drawers from another company which was more expensive than these and of dreadful quality and bought these instead. Best choice I could have made! Great company and quality goods - highly recommend.

Excellent chest of drawers - perfect size to fit on landing to keep sheets and towels in. Looks just as in photo. Well made and certainly well packaged. Took about 10 minutes to set it free but all intact and in one piece. Not so keen on the use of so much polystyrene - environmentally friendly alternative maybe?

The product is just what I needed. It was well packaged and delivered on time when promised. The only downside was that, unlike other furniture deliveries, it was a one man delivery and only taken to the front door and not to the room of choice. I then had to struggle to get the item up 2 flights of stairs.

Initially this was the only item we didn't have a problem with until we noticed a small crack on the front, after the problems we'd had with the bed and wardrobe we decided to have all items collected and refunded, customer services were excellent throughout and offered collection and refund with no quibble

Very pleasant sales telephone sales person. Day before delivery I received a four-hour slot, on the day of delivery itself they called to let me know the one-hour slot. Delivered on time. Nice item - I have changed the drawer handles which was very easy to do. Would order from Cotswold again.

A very good value chest of drawers that holds plenty of clothes. Ideal as guest bedroom storage which is what we bought it for. Unfortunately the first one arrived damaged but the customer support team sorted the problem efficiently and quickly and within a week I had a new perfect one.

Delivery was good, and the items were beautifully packed. My only gripe is the quality of the wood on the carcase was poor. One of the slats was split, and others were very rough. Overall the product was lovely, a good colour and just the right size for me. I would use Cotswold Co again.

Item delivered in perfect condition - enhanced packaging much appreciated, thank you. This fits perfectly in the alcove for which I ordered it and will be very useful. It seems a sturdy piece of furniture, matching my Cotswold pine filing cabinet sufficiently in style.

Everything has been just fantastic, the drawers are just the right dimensions and are a good quality with the bonus of being ready assembled. Communication about delivery was great and extremely quick after ordering. The delivery men even took away all the packaging.

A lovely piece of furniture, nicely designed and constructed, feels sturdy. The only improvement I would have liked is a better paint finish as the top has marked very easily, otherwise we are very satisfied and have ordered another item in the range.

I bought two of these chests and the quality is ok.Represents reasonable value.Whilst the delivery was acceptable the absurd amount of time it took to actually get the product was not! The order was placed in January and the furniture arrived in May!!

I really like this chest because of its size. Shame it took over 4 months to arrive, though. And even more shame you have to pay extra to have it taken upstairs - everyone else who's ever delivered to me has put the furniture where I've wanted it.

It looks nice in my daughters room but I do have an issue with the paint used which smells so strongly of solvent it cannot be good for my daughters lungs - I have tried airing drawers and leaving windows wide open - but the smell is still strong.

Really pleased with this good quality piece of furniture, that has fitted in so well with my other furniture. I needed something not to deep, and this was just perfect. Well made, and good service as I would expect from the Cotswold company.

Excellent quality furniture at a cracking price. Have now bought four units in total and won't hesitate to return for more and recommend to others. Far better than those on offer at major stores for twice the price!

Chest looks good and the drawers are well proportioned with plenty of space within. However the drawers do not open and close easily, so for a chest of drawers at this price I would expect a smoother operation.

Love these smaller chests, my only disappointment was that I really wanted a wooden top, but this size chest does not have that finish. I am using them as bedside cabinets, for which they are a perfect height.

It's good BUT the handles are not attached to the drawers ! if I had wanted to do any assembly myself or even had a screwdriver, I would have gone to IKEA.
