As other reviewers have said this is a beautiful piece of furniture, well made and looks impressive. The showroom in Stow is equally impressive. Thats the good news. Unfortunately, in my dealings with Cotswold over the last couple of months, this focus on quality is destroyed by their atrocious third-party delivery company, BJS. According to its website it alleges to value the whole customer experience however in 2 out of 3 visits in as many weeks to deliver this fine article, it did anything but! The first 2-man delivery team said that the bookcase was too heavy to lift it out of the van so despite calls to their Head Office, they took the unit away again and recorded it as a refused delivery! The second team arrived the following week with a van which had a hydraulic lift. After scuffing recently-painted walls and door-frames (make-good cost since reimbursed by Cotswold) they decided that they couldnt manoeuvre the unit into position in the ground-floor lounge area. I suggested that they should unwrap the bookcase and it would fit. They would only do so if I took responsibility for any damage whilst they are moving it; that was never going to happen. The third team were cheerful, polite and amazed that the previous two deliveries had failed but, by this time, I was not prepared to let them do anything other than leave the item in my garage. I then paid a local professional removal man to put it in place, a process which took him 15 minutes with two colleagues. Moral of this story: dont be surprised if your experience is the same as mine and that described by two other reviewers, Marjolein Hart and Kay Martin below. Prepare to be disappointed and you wont be!
